Welcome to our cozy and rustic 1940s fishing cottage, nestled at the edge of Walk In Water Lake in the heart of Lake Wales. This charming 3-bedroom retreat offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and everyday comforts, ideal for anglers, nature lovers, or anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The cottage features three comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms - each with walk-in showers - and a fully equipped kitchen & charming dining area to gather around and share special moments. The living area is the heart of the cottage where you can relax, watch TV, enjoy your favorite novel or Scrabble time with the kids. The decor is comfortable and reflects the warmth you'll find within the cottage. Enjoy your morning coffee sitting on the dock with serene views of the surrounding nature, or cast a line for a day of fishing on the lake. You're welcome to bring your own boat, use our canoe as well or we can recommend local rentals for you as well! There is a boat ramp less than 5 minutes away!
Whether you're here to fish, boat, explore the local trails, birdwatching or even do a bit of stargazing or just simply unwind, the camp provides a unique and peaceful retreat. Conveniently located near local attractions and amenities & surrounded by a State Preserve, it's the perfect base for your Lake Wales adventure and exploring a bit of Old Florida!

LOCATION! Planning ahead for your getaway is highly recommended as the closest grocery shopping is 14 mi to Walmart or Publix. Well water is drinkable but you may prefer taste of bottled water.

Fishing - The lake has lots of different kinds of fish – bass, catfish, crappie, bluegill, gar, and more. There are several bait shops around (most on Rte 60). There is a tackle box in the living room that you can use. Please place the poles back next to the fireplace after you use them. You will need a fishing license which you can buy at Wal Mart.

Frequently Asked Questions
1-PLEASE no parties, we want you to enjoy each other and have a great time but disruptive parties are not permitted. Observation of quiet hours (10p – 8a) must be observed. Loud music and outdoor entertainment are prohibited. This is a residential neighborhood and the authorities will be called if you cause a disturbance. Please be respectful.
2- Tenant and any guest of Tenant shall obey all laws of the state of Florida, as well as local laws, at all times while they are on the premises. Failure to abide by the laws of FL or the above rules may cause tenant to be asked to vacate the premises and forfeit all rents and deposits.
3- PETS are not allowed at our property. If a pet is found to have been in the property, you will be charged the $125 pet fee.
If you are bringing a service animal, please advise the property manager before arrival.
4 - Parking is available in the driveway. Please do not park in the street or on the grass.
5- Treat this home as if it were your own, please report damages to your host immediately. If damages are determined to be caused by tenant misuse, it may result in fees to make repairs.
6- Smoking or vaping of any kind and burning of any substances including incense is not permitted in the property and if detected there will be a $300 charge and possible eviction with no refunds.
7- Family Rental Only - Reservations are not made by or for a minor, defined as any person under the age of 25.
8- Sleeping Capacity/Disturbances - Tenant and all other occupants will be required to vacate the premises and forfeit the rental fee and security deposit for any of the following: Occupancy exceeding the sleeping capacity of people noted in the listing, using the premises for any illegal activity, causing damage to the premises rented or to any of the neighboring properties and any other acts which interferes with neighbors' right to quiet enjoyment of their premises.
9 Housekeeping- There is no daily maid service. Linens and towels are included and not to be taken from the unit. An initial setup of trash liners, bathroom paper, soap is provided. There is a one time cleaning fee. NOTE: Bookings exceeding one month will be charged an additional cleaning fee per month and cleaning will be organized with management.
10- Utilities - No compensation will be given for temporary outage of electricity, gas, water or internet service or Pool/spa heating issues. Outages will be reported immediately and all efforts will be made to have them restored as soon as possible.
11- Maintenance- Please report any maintenance needs for the premises to us and we will respond as quickly as possible. Refunds will not be made for maintenance issues including, but not limited to heating and air conditioning, appliances, televisions, and stereos, internet.
12- FIREWORKS are NOT allowed in the community.

14- Hold Harmless - iTrip or the Owner, does not assume any liability for loss, damage or injury to persons or their personal property. Neither does owner accept any liability for any inconveniences, damage, loss or injury arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, cable service, electricity or plumbing, as well as due to weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of God, or other reasons beyond its control.
15 - Cancelation policy - In the event that you must cancel or change your reservation, please be aware that cancellations or changes must occur at least 30 days prior to arrival date. If cancellation occurs 30 days or more prior to arrival date all monies will be refunded and $100.00 administrative fee may be charged. If changes occur 30 days or more prior to arrival date, modifications to booking dates can be made without penalty. Bookings canceled at least 14 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund. If changes occur at least 14 days before the start of the stay, modifications to booking dates may be made but will be subject to nightly price changes. GUESTS THAT DO NOT CANCEL WITHIN THE 14-DAY TIME FRAME WILL BE CHARGED THE FULL AMOUNT. If changes occur within the 14-Day time frame, modifications to booking dates may be made but will be subject to nightly price changes and penalties. There will be no refund for early departure unless authorities request mandatory hurricane evacuation. Trip cancelation Insurance is recommended.
15- LIABILITY WAIVER: Our property provides you with a unique opportunity to swim, fish, enjoy the decks, dock, fire pit, and use the kayak(s). We want you to take advantage of these amenities and have a memorable visit. However, by agreeing to our House Rules, you acknowledge that there are inherent risks involved with participating in these activities and that lakes, docks, decks, stairs, campfires and kayaking may present dangers for adults and children. Children must be carefully supervised at all times when near the water. If you swim or use the kayaks (especially children) we strongly recommend the use of life jackets which are provided for you and your guests. Because the water at the end of the dock is shallow, no diving off the dock is allowed. Alligators are also found in lakes in Winter Haven. Please be cautious and never feed them. By agreeing to the House Rules, you acknowledge the potential risks discussed above, agree to accept full responsibility for any bodily injury that may occur to you and others in your party, and waive any claim whatsoever against the owners for accidents or claims arising from these activities.
ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS The undersigned Tenant, for himself/herself, his/her heirs, assignors, executors, and administrators, fully releases and discharges Owner from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, and causes of action by reason of any injury, loss of damage by whatever nature which has or have occurred, or may occur to the undersigned, or any of his/her guests as a result, or in connection with the occupancy of the premises and agrees to hold Owner free and harmless of any claim or suit arising there from. In any action concerning the rights, duties or liabilities of the parties to this agreement, their principals, agents, successors or assignees the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover any reasonable attorneys fees and costs. Owner reserves the right to terminate this Agreement upon their discretion at any time.
POOL RULES (if applicable):
1. Use pool at your own risk. We are not responsible for accidents or injuries.
2. We ask that you please do not touch the pool controls. If you need assistance or feel that something is not working properly, please call iTrip & let us know.
3. No glass in the pool area.
4. No running, pushing or other dangerous horseplay - area can be slippery when wet.
5. No diving.
6. Children should always be supervised.
7. If there is an emergency, please call emergency services.
