The Mountaineer provides guests a luxurious mountain lodge feel in an incredible Steamboat location. Even though you are walking distance to the resort base area, this spacious, three-level, 2,694 sq. ft. duplex offers guests a private, tranquil setting with mature aspen and pine trees, just off the beaten path, and lives more like a home.
Beautifully designed log and stone exteriors present a fantastic reception for your arrival. Enter the home on the bottom level, either through the front door or attached two car garage.
On the 2nd level is a spacious, open concept great room featuring knotty pine logs and railings, vaulted ceilings, mountain style doors, trim and cabinetry, a gas log fireplace with rock detailing, a large flat screen TV and comfortable, leather seating options including a sofa and two large chairs.
The updated kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need for cooking a meal and offers gorgeous granite counters, brand new slate finish appliances and mountain-style wood cabinetry.
The large dining table right off the kitchen has 8 chairs and there are 3 bar stools at the kitchen counter.
Off the living area is deck with great mountain views, seating and a gas grill.
Four bedroom en suites are dispersed on all three levels and ensure plenty of space and privacy for your group.
The master is on its own upper level, has beautiful ski area views, a private balcony, gas log fireplace, flat screen TV, and a large walk in closet. The master bath is extremely large and has two sinks, a large separate soaking tub and walk in shower. There is a nice sitting area outside the master bedroom that also has great mountain and sunset views.
Then main level en suite has a queen bed. Its bathroom has a walk in shower and direct access from both the bedroom and the living area.
The bottom level includes another queen en suite, with a tub shower combo and the bunk room en suite offering a walk in shower.
There is a washer and dryer in the unit for your convenience.
The community, outdoor heated swimming pool and hot tub are just a few doors down and there is a seasonal shuttle in winter that comes right to your door.
Most mountain residences, including this property, do not have air conditioning. Fans are provided for your comfort.

Originally started as a summer resort destination, Steamboat has become renowned for its world-class skiing and mountain biking options. And your Steamboat vacation rental will put your family in the middle of it all.
Winter activities include skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, biking, sledding and fishing. The city houses two ski areas – Steamboat and Howelsen Hill, Colorado's oldest continuously operated ski area. Or simply play in the smooth, dry snow, referred to as Champagne Powder, for which Steamboat is known.
Mountain biking is huge in Steamboat. Known as Bike Town USA, the city has trails for all ages and skill levels. Hundreds of miles of single track, as well as over 50 miles of downhill and freeride terrain.
