One of a Kind
5/5 stars
This cabin is a destination unto itself. We spent the week of Thanksgiving in it. It's very close to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, making it easy to get to the national park, the attractions in both towns, and the grocery stores. The updates inside are nice and the whole place is open and comfortable. The real magic is outside. The new decks are beautiful and provide incredible views of the waterfall from three of the four sides of the house. While you can see other homes from the decks, the cabin is private and secluded. I should mention the single flaw of the cabin is that the fireplace is solely decorative. This is the kind of place you could go and not leave the whole time you are there. It's so peaceful and beautiful. It truly is a special place. Should we return to Tennessee in the future, we'll be staying here.
- Britta

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful feedback about your Thanksgiving stay at our cabin! We are thrilled to hear that you found our cabin to be a destination unto itself and that you enjoyed the convenience of our location near both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It warms our hearts to know that you appreciated the updates inside the cabin and found it to be open and comfortable. We're especially glad you had a chance to experience the beauty of the new decks and the incredible views of the waterfall. Creating a peaceful and beautiful environment for our guests is our top priority, and it’s rewarding to hear that you found it truly special. We appreciate your note about the decorative fireplace. While we wish it could provide warmth, we are glad to hear that the ambiance of the cabin made your stay enjoyable. Thank you again for your kind words! We would be delighted to welcome you back in the future. Safe travels, and we hope to see you again soon in Tennessee!

Thank you for your feedback! We're delighted to hear that you found the cabin and property to be excellent. We understand that bedding comfort can be a subjective matter, and we strive to provide quality mattresses for our guests. Our beds are new, but we recognize that everyone has their own preferences. We had a wonderful time on our visit to the mountains! Upon arrival the first thing I smelled was mold/mildew. The beds were not comfortable at all. The sofa & chairs were not comfy enough to sit & relax after arriving after a long day. Loved the kitchen & hot tub! No water pressure at all in the showers or kitchen sink. Loved the washer/dryer. Enjoyed lounging on the nice porch after a long day. Did not enjoy dragging everything up a mountain after a long day because we had to park across the road. Had I known this beforehand I would’ve never booked here because of my bad back & knees. I’m sorry but I won’t be booking here but somewhere else instead. Thank you so much!!
- Logan

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your recent stay. We are glad to hear you had a wonderful time overall and found some aspects of your visit enjoyable, like the kitchen, hot tub, and porch. However, we’d like to address a few of your issues. Mountains can be a challenge! If you have known issues with your knees and back, in a mountainous setting we recommend checking in with us first about accessibility concerns. It’s not exactly a flat, leisurely stroll, and that’s part of the charm and excitement of visiting the great outdoors! As for the other comments regarding the mold/mildew, uncomfortable beds, and furniture—while we’re committed to providing a pleasant stay, we encourage guests to reach out directly about issues about your stay. After all, we’re here to make your experience better, and sometimes all it takes is a simple message! While we appreciate your feedback and your decision to seek lodging elsewhere, we hope you find a location that meets your needs perfectly. Best wishes on your future travels!

Quiet and private

Loved the cabin. Got rain so the waterfall was rolling good. Enjoyed the privacy of the place. No close neighbors. The bears did visit us daily. If you drive a truck, don't leave anything in back. Mama bear did decide to check it out. They also checked out the deck. They didn't stay. I do recommend skeeter spray. And if you plan to cook, you may want to bring an extra skillet.
- Joy

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our cabin! We're thrilled to hear that you loved your stay and enjoyed the beautiful waterfall, especially during the rain. It's wonderful to know that you appreciated the privacy and seclusion our cabin offers. We’re always excited to hear about wildlife encounters, and it sounds like you had some memorable visits from our local bears! Thank you for the tips regarding securing items in your truck and the recommendation for skeeter spray—these insights will definitely help future guests. We also appreciate your feedback about the kitchen amenities. We'll look into adding extra skillets for those who enjoy cooking during their stay. Thank you again for your review, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon!

Beautiful waterfall cabin

The cabin was gorgeous! So relaxing and peaceful. My daughter and I said we were going to leave the door open at night so we could hear the waterfall, but we could still hear it with the doors shut. Very calming! Every day we were there, after our adventures, we came back, relaxed in the hot tub, with amazing views of the woods, the water... definitely want to plan a trip back next summer!
- Amber

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you and your daughter had such a relaxing and peaceful stay at our cabin. Great Location, Neat Concept
5/5 stars
Location of this house is perfect! You are 3 minutes from the main road that connects Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge! No more than 12 minutes to either district! While the shell may be a little older, You can tell the owners are working hard to upfit this home and modernize it! We enjoyed our stay and would book again in the future! Never have stayed in a house that's built over a waterfall, but this place is really neat! We have a little guy (2 years old) and the sounds from the waterfall kept us from having to turn on his sound machine! While yes, there are a couple minor things that work a little different than your primary residence, this is a mountain house built off the main grid, so you cannot expect a luxurious 5 star hotel from downtown Nashville. iTrip is wonderful to work with as well, would highly recommend them!
- Jerame

Absolutely love it! Thank you so much for this great feedback and review. We look forward to having you back soon! Wonderful to work with you.

Magical weekend
5/5 stars
We wanted a real vacation with just the two of us, but we wanted to be able to touristy things if we felt in the mood for hustle and bustle too. The cabin was only a couple of miles from town, and once we figured out how to navigate the roads, it was easy. The cabin had everything we needed, but the wine bottle openers were broken. The water pressure was really low, so showers took longer. The water takes a bit of time to warm up, but the hot water never ran out. The tub in the other bathroom was great for soaking in, but we couldn’t make the shower work. The appliances, dishes, bedding, towels etc were excellent. The cabin set up was great—we loved the Alexa and used it a lot. We enjoyed all the channels on TV. We found plenty of firewood outside to keep our fires going. The hot tub was good. It was so relaxing to sit outside in the hot tub with the cool air and watched the leaves falling early in the morning. The waterfall was exactly like the pictures. We especially loved opening the bedroom door to the waterfall and listening to it. The only thing that we felt needs to be addressed is the flooring in the back bedroom. Nails are sticking up, and the flooring was cracked and protruding and could be a safety risk. The parking is ok, but the walk up the hill is challenging. We have joint issues, and the previous reviews mention getting from the parking area to the cabin is difficult. We agree with this. There is a lower road that comes up, which is way better and easier than the higher road coming down. We had a truck with 4 wheel drive. We struggled with the steepness of the roads. Sedans would likely struggle a little more. Overall, this cabin gave us a great time to just relax, and to welcome us home after excursions. We loved the isolation as it’s best feature, and it’s oneness with nature right behind as our second best feature.
- Frankie

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing your experience at our cabin. We appreciate all of your feedback. Our Waterfall cabin is definitely unique and does have it's quirks but it is quite the destination for those who enjoy the nature of it's surroundings. We will definitely get the items you mentioned taken care of. Again, thank you for your review. We are happy to hear you had a magical time. We hope to host you again!

A Couple of issues to note
5/5 stars
The cabin itself is very cool what could make it better 1. Cob Webs everywhere my wife and I cleaned up EASY TO SEE 2. leave a broom deck covered with leaf's we also cleaned these up
- Daniel

Thank you for your review and feedback. We will be sure to mention your comments to the cleaners. Brooms are supposed to be left at the cabins but they do go missing from time to time. The leaves are a never ending job given the cabins location but we are happy to hear you enjoyed the cabin! We hope to host you again.

A LITTLE OASIS
5/5 stars
It was the perfect little getaway for our family. We weren't at the house much but we did love it when we were there. The house is built into a waterfall which gives it such a zen feeling. It was clean and comfortable. We had enough space. Having the hot tub was great too. It was an ideal location being in between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. You really do feel the serenity and peacefulness of the cabin getting away from the hustle and bustle. A couple of things to note if anyone is considering this property. the parking is across the street and it's a pretty steep hill to bring your things inside, or you can use the stairs. So it can be challenging. I recommend a 4 wheel drive car. My car could make it to the parking but it would not be able to go further than that due to how steep it is. A few suggestions to management - (not deal breakers) There is no soap or sponge provided in the kitchen. Although it says this on the listing we felt it should be provided as getting to the store isn't always a first priority. Water pressure in the master bedroom is really low and in the kitchen. The second bathroom it was ok so it was fine but not sure if that is fixable. Also the beds could use some new mattresses. We didn't find them very comfortable. No hangers were provided in the closet to hang clothes. They are little things and not deal breakers. But would be nice if some of those things can be upgraded. Overall we would go back. We really enjoyed the cabin and even extended our stay.
- Caryn

Just ok
3/5 stars
Very nice setting by the waterfall and we enjoyed our time on the spacious porch. The floor threshold to laundry room was a real issue as there were 8 nails in it that were sticking out. We quickly found this out, thankfully no injuries. Unfortunately the cabin was full of cobwebs and made the place feel unclean overall. Sheets in the main bedroom had a large stain on them too.
- James

We at iTrip are happy to hear that you and your family enjoyed your vacation! We work hard to ensure any issues guests run into are handled as quickly as possible. Great cabin
5/5 stars
We had a great vacation. This cabin was perfectly located to visit pigeon forge and gatlinsburg. The waterfalls were very peaceful. The weather was beautiful so we sat on the decks quite a bit. The only complaint I can have was the cover to the jacuzzi was so old and mangled you might as well not had one. That is such a easy fix though.

Great location. Close to town….clean.. no steep roads and the waterfalls are out your window…. Why go anywhere else. Door dash delivers also. Perfect ! Honestly. Been traveling to this town for years… this is the one I’d return to. (I’ve been to at least 50 different cabins..) first time I’d return to the same one. This is it. Grateful and blessed.

Waterfall Cabin Stay
3/5 stars
To start off, I loved the waterfall and being able to walk out onto the balcony to see it. Overall, the concept and the cabin, once inside, were wonderful. However, I feel like a few tweaks would improve the overall guest experience and enhance guest safety. During our stay, it was quite cold and rainy and even got a bit icy a few of the mornings. The steep stairs and ramp were hazardous when covered with wet leaves - which they were for the first several days of our stay. My husband even fell walking across the ramp because it proved to be quite slippery. We're all very lucky he was not injured. I'd recommend installing additional anti-slip traction pads to the entire staircase and ramp. The primary bedroom was also extremely cold and not well insulated which meant we were freezing even with the heat cranked up. Also, we felt uncomfortable at the end of our stay when a van sat outside for 20+ minutes as we were packing to leave. Maybe ask the cleaning crew to show up at 10:10am, that's who we assumed it was, so that guests don't feel uncomfortable and rushed. Check out was at 10am and not at 9:40 when they showed up.
- Angela

Thank you for staying with us! Our guests' reviews mean a lot to us. We are happy to hear you loved the waterfall. This cabin is one of the most unique properties in the area and with that being said, it's often that nature is not on our side. Routine maintenance is done to clear leaves from the driveway and decks. However, we cannot guarantee that it will remain that way. We have not had any complaints regarding the existing slip strips or the temperature throughout the home. We encourage our guests to call us with any concerns as we want our guests to feel safe and comfortable. We do apologize for cleaners arriving early and have discussed this with housekeeping. We do hope you will visit the area again soon.

Serene and Peaceful
4/5 stars
The impression of the house was OK, the outside was the best. We loved where the house is built, listening to the water come down over the rocks was awesome and sitting outside was great. We used the house to truly relax at night, sleep and shower. We didn't use the kitchen, only to make coffee. A couple of things that we didn't like about the house is as follows. -The master bedroom was cold, heat doesn't go into that bedroom or bathroom. -The doors in the master bedroom don't work right and are ,very cheap. One door is bigger than the other and I always felt like I was going to break it when I tried opening or closing. -Would have loved to keep doors open, but there are no screens. -The house needs to be dusted, whomever is doing it is not doing a hot job. -Bigger TV in bedroom since you can't leave doors open. -Also a note, people come up that rode even though there is an outlet that you are not able to see. They slide down and try to turn in the driveway for the house, be careful they almost hit my car, we had to move it all the way into the parking spot, I would be nervous to park more cars. The service with iTrip was great to schedule excursions for the day or night.

Very Disappointed
1/5 stars
I stayed in this waterfall cabin last year and it was great - this visit was very disappointing. From the moment we walked in the cabin there were dust balls all over the floor - cobwebs in the windows and no broom or cleaning supplies available to get it cleaned up. There was no screen on the door leading out to the hot tub or the waterfall bedroom (there was last year) we could not open any doors to get fresh air in because of the bugs. Although we put the thermostat on "auto" 72 degrees, the cabin temperature remained at 76 degrees our whole visit. The shower off to the kitchen does not work. There were no extra garbage bags, luckily I took my own. The hot tub had dirt on the flooring and the water was cloudy - could not use. We had to wipe down the outside furniture before sitting on it and the porch itself was filthy. The only positive thing I can stay about our stay is we had plenty of clean bath towels. I honestly don't think the cabin was prepared for our stay, which is a shame, as I had a great experience there last year!!!!

Waterfall cabin
5/5 stars
We loved the cabin. Everything was great. Yes they remodeling...and its not 100%. Some baseboards are missing. The waterfall was beautiful..it had just rained so it was really flowing good. The kids played in it where it pooled at the deck and climbed the waterfall to the cave like area. We enjoyed the fact that you could hear it all night in the master bedroom. The front does need the poison ivy killed. They couldn't play in the front because they are allergic and we didn't want to risk it. The area is kinda steep road wise..yes I think it needs to be a dead-end road. We made it there easily and my mom in law did make up the cabin from the parking area with our help even though the road was wet. We will be returning. It's close to everything we did. A quick trip to the strip for dinner or something we forgot bf coming for the night wasn't a problem. Oh our only real issue was the spiders..but we understand..its in the middle of the woods..under remodeling..theres no way to 100% get rid of creatures.

Loved this place!
4/5 stars
We absolutely loved this cabin. This was our first trip without our kids in a very long time, and this would really be perfect for couples, or families. The scenery is just breathtaking, it's so nice to wake up to the sound of that waterfall. We enjoyed the hot tub, and having our morning coffee and meals on the deck. The cabin is beautifully appointed, we could tell they went the extra mile to make sure we had what we needed. The recent remodels are beautiful, the kitchen appliances were very nice to use. My only suggestion would be that the master bed is very uncomfortable; the guest bed is much more comfortable than the master which was hard as a rock and we woke up sore in the mornings- the hot tub came in handy for that. We were tempted to sleep in the guest room, but the view and sounds of the waterfall were worth the discomfort. My other suggestion is to bring fire starting equipment. There are no long matches, lighters, or kindling. We were wishing there was a screen door to the master bedroom exterior door and the windows, to open for fresh air-but I assumed maybe the wildlife may have something to do with that decision. These are small complaints in comparison to the beauty and privacy of this cabin. We really didn't want to leave. We hope to plan a return trip with the kids later in the year.

Beautiful view
1/5 stars
The view and scenery is spectacular cant be beat the living room and kitchen are great the bathrooms are not great tubs are from 1990 when house was built huge cracks in the walls parts of the bathroom wall falling off or separating the front door is not secure frame was cracked no metal clasp just wood with a breeze the door would sound like it was going to fly open and make a beating sound no bottoms lock on the front door either. I actually left a day early because it wasnt worth the money next time I'll either find a different cabin or rent a hotel room with a view

Wonderful Location, But...
3/5 stars
Let me start by saying, the location is AMAZING, but that is it. Know you are paying to stay in a house built over a waterfall, and nothing else. To say the house needs TLC is an understatement. The house needs a total overhaul. We expected the house to be a little damp, it is built over running water after all, but the musty smell and damp feel was a little much. There was a small dehumidifier, that helped, some. The updates that have been done, were done poorly. Some new bedding would go a long way. It would have also been nice to be able to open the windows and doors, however, they didn't have screens. The bedding was worn, there was no dish soap, the hot tub didn't work very well, and two very small frying pans. I had read in other reviews about mold in the bathroom, and the responses that it was going to be taken care of, it was still there. Also the house was not very clean. There are cobwebs in the windows, and hanging from the ceiling lights. I struggled with how to give this review fairly, the waterfall is great, and it is a very beautiful location, just know that you are just paying for that, nothing else.

Perfect relaxing get away
5/5 stars
Very relaxing. We have literally stared at the waterfall for days. The ultimate slow down and chill kind of location. Close enough to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg to go for entertainment but you won't want to leave!

Amazing Waterfall/Average Cabin
3/5 stars
If the cabin would get a little TLC it would be a great place. The waterfall is by far the best attraction. Needs a coat of paint, replace door mat. I had to fix the door sweep on front door when I got there. Hot tub never really got hot. Main bedroom door is too big and won't close. Toilet not bolted to the floor in master bath. Road in and out can be a challenge due to pot holes where road has been washed out and repaired. This isn't a show stopper, but should be mentioned in the advertisements.

Very very disappointed with the entire experience from the rental itself that is in horrible condition to the tons of fees associated with renting thru this sight. Will never use you again OR recommend your sight for any rentals

It was a breeze to make reservations. We did not have to go through finding a place to pick up keys and then find the rental place. We were able to go straight there and our instructions were plain to understand. The rental property was an awesome place!

My husband and loved our trip to the smokies. We experienced no issues at all.

Beautiful water falls
5/5 stars
There was quite a bit of trash around the grounds that you would have to be “looking for” to see (i.e. coke cans, plastic bag with baby jar in it under the deck stairs, etc), just small things like that. Quite a bit of rot around decking in back, as well as bottom of house walls. The rail on the jacuzzi side of the house is VERY unstable, and VERY close to “giving” with minimal weight. It’s a beautiful place, in need of a little care and attention. Scott F Helms

Waterfall Cabin Peaceful Bliss
5/5 stars
We absolutely loved staying at Waterfall Cabin. The sounds of the waterfall lulled us to sleep every night and relaxed us during the day. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We didn't want to leave to go sightseeing, it was that relaxing. Also, the ease of rental and check out was nice too. It had everything we needed.

The location was beautiful. It was secluded and quiet. Just what we were looking for. It was nice to go directly to the location. The cleaning agency was still in the cabin at check in which was ok but we later found the hot tub was not filled and appeared not to have chemicals in it. The location we chose was great but a word of caution for those who may be sensitive to mold as the cabin is over the water.
