Salem in October
4/5 stars
Broom and Board is quite nice. 12-15 minutes to the main drag (Essex street). I went for the Halloween madness. Was a little disappointed that there were no Halloween decorations anywhere on the property but to each there own. Only issue was the bathrooms flushing system - which took forever to refill or not at all. Old toilets.
- Aleksandra

Hello Aleksandra. We are glad that you enjoyed Broom & Board. It is very close to all the happenings in Salem, very witchy for October! We would be delighted to have you back again soon!

Broom and Board met all our expectations for lodging while in Salem MA. Very spacious with all the amenities of home. Very comfortable beds! 2 full baths with plenty of space and clean towels for each guest. Only thing is be prepared for steps to reach this unit.

Hi Chonda, Broom & Board is a fantastic home to stay in when you want to explore the hustle and bustle of Salem. Salem birthday Trip
4/5 stars
Though the accommodations were acceptable for what we needed, I do have a few suggestions. I booked the Broom and Broad for 10 people. There were zero cleaning supplies at the unit. There were 4 total rolls of toilet paper for 10 people for 4 days/ 3 nights. The internet was not working for anyone in my party. We had zero service all weekend. The unit below was moving out so there was a moving truck before 7 am at the location which woke us all on Saturday morning. The bottom door was consistently left open and unlocked from the bottom unit, after my party repeatedly shut and locked the door. Instructions said to take garbage out and leave in trash cans to go out Tuesday. Trash went out Monday morning and was already full before we tried to leave our trash.
- Ashley

Great location
4/5 stars
We stayed at Broom and Board with my son and his family. Rental was great for mixed group as they were able to stay on third level which had 2 bedrooms, a family room/ sleeping area and we had a bedroom on 2nd floor. The location is in walking distance to Salem Center, attractions and the train station. We took the train to Boston for a few day trips( very quick and inexpensive) and only needed a car to get groceries and to go to the beach. The place itself is not appropriate for anyone with ambulatory issues as it has 2 stairways that are steep, narrow and winding. The kitchen, while not what I would call gourmet, was well stocked with spices and essentials. The place is worn, needs paint and updated furnishings ( the couch was on 3rd floor in same room as a bed) but the beds were comfortable and linens were nice. The neighborhood is quiet and we were comfortable walking to and from Salem Center and restaurants. If you are looking for upscale accommodations, this is not for you but the location and the excellent service from the rental company make this a good choice for families visiting Sakem.
- JoAnne

Hi JoAnne, We are elated to hear how much you enjoyed your stay with us and truly appreciate all of the feedback. The property is equipped with all that our guests could need from updated kitchen furnishings, to plenty of things needed to cook with. We also love how the owners have such a retro motif and how they carefully picked out certain things to provide that retro vibe for the home. Didn't you love how close you were to many of the historic sights Salem has to offer? A perfect place to stay at when one wants to immerse themselves into the history of Salem Massachusetts. We truly hope we get to see you again soon!

We loved our stay at Broom and board! Super cozy and plenty of space for our large group! Thank you!!

in the center of it all
5/5 stars
This was a great location very close to downtown Salem. We walked or biked everywhere. We were a 3 generation family of 9 and the bedroom configuration was perfect. The upstairs was like a separate apartment. There were many renovations and the kitchen had new appliances and lots of working space. However if you intend to cook and eat in often, you might want to consider paper plates. There was barely enough dishes for our group and we had to run the dishwasher after every meal, only one dish towel and no can opener. That aside, we would highly recommend this accommodation for a family or group visiting Salem.
- Michelle
Great house
5/5 stars
Great house for a family gathering. Nice accommodations. It just needed better pillows and more than one pillow per person.
- Maria
Beautiful and Spacious
5/5 stars
Close to everything, well appointed, adorably decorated, comfortable and spacious! This place had everything we needed and was very clean! We will definitely be back!
- Karen
Comfortable and convenient

The house was spacious and had several different areas for people to hang out separately doing different things and then come together. Well kept and quiet. Convenient to town and beach.
- Naomi
The perfect cozy space in Witch City!
5/5 stars
My retreat group and I just loved Broom & Board! It was perfect for the 9 of us and we had plenty of space. The staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful and the 15 min walk to the center of town was so lovely and simple. Would definitely go back and use this house again.
- Alyssa
Wonderful accommodations in a great location!
5/5 stars
This home was perfect for our family (6 people between the ages of 18-57 years old.) We all had our own space plus great common areas for everyone to have family time together! Great location within walking distance to downtime. Comfortable beds and everything was very clean, we loved it!
- Patricia
Convenient, Comfy, and Beautiful!
5/5 stars
First off, let me say, these were the most comfortable beds I have EVER slept in! Now, the outside of the house is not much to look at but once you open the doors, the whole house was beautiful, comfortable, and chic! When you book you have access to the second and third floors of the building, which was nice because we felt it really distanced us from the neighbors below. We loved that there was a second living room upstairs on the third floor! There was plenty of street parking and the house is conveniently located near downtown Salem. The Salem Witch Museum is only an 8 minute walk away, and the rest of the town is about 12- 15 minutes. We loved everything about this place and would book it again the next time we are in Salem.
- Samantha
Fabulous time!!

Fee Fo Review
4/5 stars
The house was lovely with four bedrooms and two full baths, hard to find in a location within walking distance of a quaint downtown and public transportation. The loft area with the smart tv and comfy couch set up was perfect for lounging. Kitchen equipped with everything needed to eat in!I would suggest that more rolls of toilet paper, and paper towels (2 of each that were already opened for previous use just wasnt enough for 5 days, 7 people.and boxed bathroom soap and at least one dishwasher tablet for every day you are there.be included. Just inconvenient when you run out of these. Also there was no broom or vacuum on premise so I wound up havingto get one of both. These suggestions are an easy fix that would make this a 5 Star review.
- Christine
