ABOUT SERVICE DOGS
  The ADA regulations provide that the work or tasks performed by the service dog must be directly related to the person’s disability and specifically mention the following examples:
·      assisting persons who are blind or have low vision to navigate or other tasks,
·      alerting persons who are deaf or hard of hearing to the presence of people or sounds,
·      assisting an individual having a seizure,
·      pulling a wheelchair,
·      alerting a person to the presence of allergens,
·      retrieving items such as medicine or the telephone,
·      providing physical support and assistance with balance or stability to a mobility-impaired person,
·      preventing or interrupting impulsive or destructive behaviors in persons with psychiatric or neurological disabilities.
SERVICE ANIMALS ARE NOT PETS
We get a lot of requests to make reasonable accommodations for Service Dogs and Assistance Animals. Service animals are not pets. They are trained to work and aid their handlers. We are always willing to waive our standard Pet Fees and make accommodations for TRUE Service Dogs and Assistance Animals in our pet-friendly and Pet vacation rental properties in accordance with the ADA regulations and Fair Housing Laws, in which we are very well versed. However, as much as we all love dogs, as much as we respect service animals and what they do, and as much as we want everyone to be comfortable on vacation, we have a duty to our property owners and to future guests to uphold the rule of law. The laws governing Service Dogs and Assistance Animals are much more nuanced and in-depth than one may think from a cursory search on the internet. There is a lot of false information out there.
PETS ARE NOT SERVICE ANIMALS
Unfortunately, we get a LOT of people who claim that their pet is a Service Dog or Assistance Animal. We know that many websites and organizations will help people try to portray their pet as a Service Dog or Assistance Animal without meeting any legal requirements through online or mail-in “certifications.” Please know that currently, there is no legally recognized organization for registering service dogs or assistance animals. These websites make money off people who do not know any better.
People falsely claiming a pet is a Service Dog or Assistance Animal can face extreme punishments, including hefty fines and even imprisonment. Know that out of our love and respect for Service Dogs and Assistance Animals, we have a zero-tolerance policy on misrepresentation, and we report all suspected offenders while pushing for full prosecution. We know that some people have been misinformed or misled by websites and organizations that try to sell a “Service Dog” certification to owners of pets that are not qualified or needed. If you are one of these people, we caution you.

Service animal

In most cases, a service animal is a dog trained to perform a task that mitigates the symptoms or impact of the handler's disability. Some common types of service animals include: 
  • Guide dogs for the blind 
  • Hearing alert dogs for the deaf 
  • Seizure alert dogs 
  • Assistance dogs for a handler with autism or other developmental disability and mental illnesses such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) 

Emotional support animal

Emotional support animals are not trained to perform a specific task. They are companion animals who help their owners cope with the symptoms of emotional and mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, and panic disorders. Emotional support animals are not allowed in public places, with only a few exceptions. 


Therapy animal 

Therapy animals and their owner are certified or registered to enter long-term care facilities, hospitals, rehab centers, schools, and other public places by invitation. They are often used to complement several types of health care. Therapy animals are generally not protected by service animal access laws.

Rights and responsibilities of service animal handlers 

  • Handlers are not generally denied the right to stay at a property because they require a service animal. 
  • Handlers generally don’t have to disclose their disability or what causes their disability. 
  • They must be willing to confirm that the animal is a service animal and attest to what task the animal performs. 
  • Handlers must have their animal under control either on a leash or by verbal command if they are unable to use a leash. They must pick up after the animal and dispose of waste appropriately. 
  • Handlers must keep their service animal with them. At no time may they be left unattended. 

Host's rights and responsibilities 

  • The host may ask if the animal is a service animal and what tasks the animal performs. 
  • We will not charge a pet fee or increase the security deposit amount for service animals since they’re not pets. However, we can charge for damage above and beyond reasonable usage caused by the handler and their service animal. 
  • We will offer the same level of quality and value for services and products. That includes doing everything we can to help the handler feel safe, welcome, and understood.

CLEANING AND DISINFECTING ENHANCEMENTS

Hand sanitizing stations are provided throughout the resort. We are frequently using EPA-approved products that kill the COVID-19
virus on all of our high-touch surfaces and restrooms, and we are applying enhanced cleaning and disinfecting practices across
our resort, including in our gondola cabins.

Experience innovative kosher cuisine, including traditional Sabbath meals on Friday evening at Bistro Kosher Deli, located in the Silverado Lodge. The restaurant will be open for the winter season in early December. Attend orthodox synagogue services in a small Shul adjacent to Bistro — offering Sabbath services conducted every Friday and Saturday and additional services during the week — all within walking distance of all Canyons Village properties.

No it is not. The cleaning fee covers only a departure cleaning on the day of your checkout.

However additional cleaning services are available and can be arranged as frequently as you would like for various charges (depending on the service you would like). Please let us know if you'd like more information.

POOL AND SPA

If equipped, spa heating is included. Pool heating, unless solar-equipped, incurs an additional fee and must be paid for before use. Guest agrees not to tamper with pool heat controls or manipulate the heater in any way. Pool heat shall not surpass 86 degrees.

The guest acknowledges the absence of fencing or security around the pool and spa area. Guest fully comprehends and accepts responsibility and liability for any damages incurred by the pool, spa, and its accompanying equipment due to Guest misuse and/or negligence.
Safety is our top priority. If you are staying at a home with a private pool or hot tub, please abide by the following rules. They are in place for your protection.

Here at iTrip Park City ensuring a clean, comfortable and safe environment for our guests is our top priority. We strive to maintain high standards in every home we manage. Part of our high standards includes using the triple sheeting method on each bed in every home.

What is Triple Sheeting?

Triple sheeting is a technique where three sheets are used to make a bed instead of a duvet cover or bedspread.

  1. The first sheet is placed on top of the mattress protector and can be a fitted or tucked in flat sheet.
  2. Next is a flat sheet which lays between the guest and the warmth layer (a plush blanket insert)
  3. Finally, a third sheet (often referred to as a top cover) is used on top of the blanket/insert. The top cover often has decorative stripes or a jacquard woven design to add a touch of sophistication to the guest room.

We are dedicated to sourcing linens that meet our standards for softness and durability. This helps to provide that awesome feeling when our guests can climb into a clean, well made bed. 

BRINGING A SERVICE DOG OR ASSISTANCE ANIMAL

  When planning to bring a service dog or assistance animal to an allowed vacation rental home:

All service dogs and assistance animals must be declared at the time of booking whenever possible and before the check-in date.

As the handler, be prepared to answer the following questions:

For Service Dogs:
1. Do you or a person in your party need this animal to accompany them due to a disability?
2. What work or tasks has the animal been trained to perform that relate to the disability?

For Assistance Animals:
1. Does the person seeking to bring the animal have a disability, i.e., a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities?
2. Does the animal work, provide assistance, perform tasks or services for the benefit of the person with the disability, or provide emotional support that alleviates one or more of the identified symptoms or effects of the person’s disability?
 
You will check into Westgate Resort at the Front Desk and be given a key to your room.
Yes. Internet access is available as a courtesy service through the Westgate for the duration of your stay. 
Yes, as our guest you have full access to all of the resort amenities. 
If you are a guest at a private home, we will take care of taking the garbage cans out for collection and in once they're emptied.

A team member may enter the garage during your stay to access the cans or put them away. 

They do not have access to the inside of home. 

If you are staying in a home with a wood-burning fireplace, please read and follow the guidelines listed below:

How to Use The Wood-Burning Fireplace

To use the wood-burning fireplace, you must have dry wood. This is not something that iTrip supplies; however, it can be purchased at nearby stores.

Before starting a fire, ensure the flue is fully open - this is crucial for allowing smoke to escape from the house.
Only use wood in the fireplace; do not add paper, fire starters, or pinecones.
It is important to stay in the room until the fire is completely extinguished.

To ensure the safety and efficiency of your wood-burning fireplace, there are a few important guidelines to follow. These guidelines will not only keep you and your home safe, but they will also help you get the most out of your fireplace.

Dry wood is essential when using a wood-burning fireplace. Wet or damp wood can create excess smoke and lead to a build-up of creosote in the chimney, which can be highly flammable. It is recommended to use seasoned wood that has been left to dry for at least six months.

While we do not supply wood for your fireplace, there are many stores nearby where you can purchase it (including 7 11 and most grocery stores). Make sure to only buy high-quality dry wood from reputable sources. Avoid using treated or painted wood, as they can release harmful chemicals into the air when burned.

Before starting a fire, always make sure that the flue is fully open. This allows for proper ventilation and prevents smoke from entering your home. It is also important to keep the flue open until the fire has been completely extinguished.

Never add paper, fire starters, or pinecones when burning wood in the fireplace. These materials can cause sparks and increase the risk of a chimney fire. Stick to using only dry wood in the fireplace.

Lastly, always stay in the room while the fire is burning and never leave it unattended. This will ensure that you are aware of any potential hazards and can take action if needed. Once the fire has been extinguished, make sure to properly dispose of the ashes in a metal container and store them outside, away from any flammable materials.

Yes. Parking is available in a covered garage on a first come first served basis. Additional parking is available in an exterior lot. Valet parking is also available through the resort.

No Party Policy

As indicated on the rental agreement, all iTrip Park City properties have a strict no-party policy. 

For everyone's safety, do not exceed the listed max occupancy of the home and amenities.

Unless otherwise listed, quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am. Please observe them and be respectful of the home and neighbors. 

All properties and homes are non-smoking. 

Parking rules must be followed. The city is very generous with its parking tickets and towing. 

Violations are subject to immediate eviction without refund.

We want everyone to have a great stay but we understand that things may break or some items may get overlooked. Please reach out and we'll do our best to get them fixed in a timely manner.

We do ask that all guests TAKE TIME TO BE KIND. Common courtesy goes a long way. Sadly since the pandemic we have all witnessed an increase in disrepectful, aggressive or unacceptable behavior. Our team has taken a lot of abuse as they have experienced some very unkind guests.

Misunderstandings are one of the leading causes of complaints. Please make sure you read everything we send to you. This includes the entire rental listing, all of our house rules, all photos, all emails & texts and all the help articles in your iTrip account. This helps avoid misunderstandings.

For our own safety and security we have a zero tolerance rule with guests who are rude, abusive, discourteous or argumentative. We do not and will not engage any more beyond asking them to read our TAKE TIME TO BE KIND policy.

My sister and I had a long weekend getaway. It was so relaxing and peaceful! The beautiful view and accommodations were just impeccable. The people were so kind and welcoming and so friendly. I would say to anyone that if you want to have options for your vacation, in a group, with children and pets or just two sisters this is an excellent choice. So much to see and do, convenient everything is on site!

We were a family of 5 with 3 little kids. This condo has plenty of space for us for a 5-day stay. Very comfortable and well-appointed. The location of the Westgate cannot be beaten. The proximity to ski school, the lifts, restaurants, etc. was absolutely fantastic with small children. The Westgate had a great play area with lots of fun activities. We were so impressed with the family-friendliness of the resort that we will definitely stay at Westgate again when we return! The only thing I will say about this specific unit is the kitchen is minimally stocked. I expect most people eat out for most meals, but since we have small children we ordered groceries in. We had the basics (pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils, etc.) but not a lot of extras. For example, there were not any food storage containers, spices, cooking oils, etc. Overall, a very minor thing and didn't hugely affect our stay, but FYI if you are planning on eating most meals in - add some to your grocery order!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it for a wonderful and easy family experience. We stayed in a two bedroom two bath unit that also had to pull out couches. The kitchen was well appointed and extremely clean… Washer, dryer, fireplace, balcony. Loved the accessibility to the lips, and very convenient ski/boot storage. Great for families is there are multiple indoor/outdoor pools, a game room, ping-pong, tables, abundant, vending machines, and hot tubs!

We had a wonderful time. So close to the slopes. Room was perfect. I wish we were more informed of the amenities when we arrived. All I was given was a QR code. The man at the desk was not super helpful. Please allow day passes to the spa! Adult pool and sauna were so lovely. Kids had a blast too!

Perfect Escape for The Family!

Our stay at the Westgate was just what the family needed. The property had tons of activities for the whole family. We were a close 10-min drive to Main St, but also had tons to do around the Canyon Villages property. The room worked out perfectly for a family of 4 with 2 smaller kids. I'd highly recommend the Red Pines Gondola lift ride as well! We can't wait to come back during the winter to experience Park City with snow!

Great condo, with a quirk

The quality of the condo and furnishings are superb. Online pictures are accurate & representative of the experience. Beds, lines, and furniture are very comfortable and in excellent condition. Kitchen is minimally equipped but sufficient. Super clean. But there was one noteworthy quirk: the TV did not work as it should. It is a beautiful, large Samsung Smart TV, but there are no instructions. We found a few dozen live channels were available, but the TV was not connected to the internet. We tried several times but could not connect it to the hotel WiFi. As a result, there was no streaming (no on-demand, no Netflix, no Amazon Prime, etc.). A DVD player was connected to the TV, but the TV input for it was greyed out (inoperative). Even stranger, it would not allow us to connect our laptop to the HDMI input to stream movies either; all of the HDMI inputs were inactivated somehow. We called the front desk and they could not help. In 2020, we consider streaming internet-connected TV (with open HDMI ports) to be a minimum requirement at this price point. It simply wasn't there.

Beautiful location and accommodations! We were right at the base of the Canyons resort at Park City--gorgeous views all around. We loved the full kitchen (had everything we could need and more! Blender, toaster, pots, pans, full fridge plus an under counter one in the next room, dishwasher, oven, stove & microwave), the double-occupancy jacuzzi bath tub, and especially the steam showers! The ceiling fans were much appreciated, as we stayed during the summer. We enjoyed the pools, tennis courts, play land, and gracious staff. The iTrip team is wonderful--great communication leading up to as well as during our stay. We had a couple small maintenance issues which were taken care of within minutes of contacting them. Thank you for taking such good care of us! Thanks again for a wonderful week!!

iTrip booking process was a breeze.Westgate was wonderful. The room was very nice. The facility was top notch. Free shuttle service made life much easier. Location of Westgate is within easy walking distance of several nice dinning places. Adjacent Canyons Golf Course is a must-play. You'll either love it (we did) or hate it, but you'll never forget playing it.

A good stay for a family of (5)

Great: The condo is clean and spacious and great for a family of (5), three of whom are teenagers. The beds are very comfortable. The shower pressure was very nice and they are steam showers in each unit! We were very lucky and appreciative to get a late check-out which allowed for our family to ski an extra half day before leaving for our late afternoon flight. There is a marketplace on the 5th floor which has basic breakfast provisions and lots of wine options. We very much appreciated the free activity offered which we were able to redeem for free ski rental. We very much enjoyed the Yoga studio (After Ski Stretch class was great) Good: The kitchen is well-appointed new appliances and comes with a toaster, crock pot, and blender. There was complimentary first morning coffee, but no tea option (though there is a tea pot on the stove), or dry creamer to go with coffee. Okay: The layout of the resort itself is tricky. The unit is on the 7th floor but to get to the lobby, you need to take an elevator down to the 2nd floor, walk through an adjoining lodge and down stairs. The indoor/outdoor pool is on level 5. The hot tubs are VERY chlorinated and there is no view. Ski lockers are on the 4th floor but the lockers are not for storing your skis. There are attendants that register your boots and assign lockers; they also keep the keys. Lockers are smaller (similar to fitness club) and used to hold boots, helmets, etc. So, first you must head to the locker room to get your boots and other items, and when ready, ask an attendant to call down to Ski Services (6th floor) to request that they meet you out by the gondola with your skis. Ski Services is also on hand near the gondola at the end of the day to return your skis which was a very nice service. The first and last day were the trickiest because we didn't know the layout. And, if for some reason, Canyons is closed and you need to shuttle to Park City with your gear, plan on building in an extra 30 -45 minutes to move throughout the lodges to get out to the shuttle. Good to know: because the unit is privately owned, we had to contact iTrip (rather than front desk) to request a late checkout and to request robes which is a must for our family that loves the hot tub. The shuttle to Main Street leaves every half hour, however, you must make a reservation. We did not know this when we showed up in the lobby to catch a ride.

The accommodations were superb. The lockout side was perfect for my 11 and 13 year olds. They had their own space and their own bathroom. The ski valet service was tremendous and kept us from having to haul our gear everywhere. Excellent condo, excellent location, excellent resort... where is the garbage can though LOL?!

The perfect rental for a family ski vacation

The resort/mountain is beautiful and provides great terrain and the amenities you expect for a 5 star vacation (when it was snowing, we really liked the complimentary valet parking after returning from dinner or shopping). The staff at the lodge, working on the mountain, and in all of the shops/restaurants were very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. The condo was upscale, with a large common area off the kitchen for eating together, and watching movies in front of the fireplace. We found the condo well stocked, with everything we needed during our stay. The kids enjoyed their separate 'space' with their own bed/bath, sitting area and kitchenette. My husband and I enjoyed the huge steam shower and large spa bathtub in the master suite after skiing all day. Highly recommend to anyone looking forward to their next ski vacation.

Great, Convenient, ski-in/ski-out condo!

My husband and I rented this condo in February, 2014. The property is extremely nice, and the check-in process was very easy. The condo itself has all the bells and whistles, with a great view off the balcony. While there were only two of us, the condo would be plenty big for a family of 4 or 6. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything you need to cook, but the property itself has several good restaurants within walking distance. The condo is within a short walking distance to the ski gondola. Ski rentals were available as well, and the in-house mini grocery store was very convenient. The concierge ski/boot storage is SO nice- with slope-side delivery every morning. We'll definitely rent this condo again!

Perfect Ski Condo

Hands down, this is the best ski-in/ski-out resort experience. The property is adjacent to the Canyons gondola and was very convenient for getting started on the mountain each day. There is a ski storage room where you cna store your skis each night, and each morning they will bring your skis out to the gondala to pick up. When done in the afternoon, you can just drop your skis off at the gondala and enjoy a well-deserved beer without carrying your equitment anywhere. You can also change into and out of your boots at the lockerroom and they will dry your boots for the next day. Very convenient and great service. My wife and I also got a massage at the spa on property, which was very relaxing. I am skeptical of resort spas because they often don't rely on repeat business, but in this case we were very satisfied. As for the room -- as advertised! Very comfortable accomodations with high-end amenities. There is plenty of space for a large group, with a large dining table for everyone, while at the same time it was cozy for just my wife and me. The kitchen was a good space and the bathroom is spacious, including a bench seat and steam generator for the shower. Wifi in the room was also faster than expected and I had no problem getting work done or streaming videos at night. The property also has a shuttle service that took us into town for dinner, and we were able to comfortably rely on it for traveling away from the room. Overall, this was an excellent place to vacation. Would visit again.

Wonderful vacation and property

Snow, great food, wonderful room, first class treatment by staff. The room and whole property are as advertised, two bedrooms surrounding a large central room with kitchen, sitting area and fireplace. A relaxing way to spend our vacation. Westgate is at the base of the Canyons and while only about 50 yards from the Gondola, Westgate has a ski valet service that brings your skies to the lift and takes them back when done, this is very helpful when trying to carry your skies and the skies of young children. It's also nice to not have to worry about the skies when hitting the Umbrella Bar located in that 50 yard walk back from the Gondola. Inside of the Westgate building are two restaurants - Drafts Pub (burgers, pizza, wings, beer) and Edge Steakhouse - high end dining. There is also a convenience store that is a bit expensive but is, well, convenient. The view from the room is phenomenal, overlooking Park City and it feels like you can see the mountains in Wyoming on a clear day.
