Siltcoos Lake:

The largest lake on the central Oregon coast is also one of the region’s best fishing lakes, especially for warm water fish including largemouth bass.

and is one of the few lakes in Oregon where you can keep a wild coho salmon in season.

Siltcoos Lake is a sprawling 3,164 acres located between Florence and Reedsport in the wonderful dune country of the central coastline.

Siltcoos is one of the most celebrated largemouth bass fisheries in Oregon.

You’ll find tons of good bass cover all over the lake, including fallen trees, drop-offs.

Crappie also hang out around structure and found in shallower water during the spring.

Siltcoos is known to have good populations of less-pursued species including yellow perch, sunfish and bullhead catfish.

Trout are not the primary quarry for anglers here, but the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife does stock a modest number of rainbow trout here. Look for those plantings to take place in late winter or early spring (March and April are good times to check the stocking schedule linked below).

Native cutthroat trout also live in the lake and its tributary streams and may be kept as part of your daily trout limit.

The coho salmon fishery here opens in October and runs through December. Fishing for these fish is usually not productive until significant rainfall draws in these large fish, which most often happens in November.

There are a modest number of coho caught and kept here, but it’s a fairly unique opportunity. Boaters catch most of the adult coho, often by trolling wobbling lures in the creek channels the salmon use to return to their home streams.

What’s nearby:

This home is a quick drive from multiple access points to the Oregon Dunes and ocean beaches including the popular access just off South Jetty Road and the city of Florence is five miles north. The charming Old Town section of the city
is filled with lovely shops, cafes, galleries, and restaurants. You will also be minutes from numerous trailheads for hiking or mountain biking. The coastal forests flourishing in Douglas fir and Sitka spruce extend nearly to the Ocean. Some trails wind up over and through sand dunes offering hikers the opportunity to experience the unique natural wonders of this area. Bring your camera! Paddle Siltcoos River between Siltcoos Lake and the Pacific Ocean. This slow-moving
three-mile river is so ideal for paddlers that it’s a designated Canoe Trail. Take a scenic drive up Hwy 101 to Heceta Head Lighthouse where free tours are offered daily. Get your adrenalin flowing on a nearby dune buggy tour or with an ATV rental or go crabbing from the Siuslaw Bay public fishing.

Wonderful home for a retreat!
5/5 stars
We so much enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. There was plenty of room for 8 of us to comfortably spread out for our painting retreat. This is the second time we've stayed here and we love it! The setting is so peaceful and ever changing. Luke was great at helping us with a couple of issues that were easily remedied. Thank you!

Great Location

Beautiful home, great views on a lovely lake. One issue was a lack of cooking utensils.

Spectacular!
5/5 stars
WOW this property exceeded our expectations completely. First of all, how brilliant it is that all four of the main house bedrooms have a view of the lake (and what a view!) While we were there in January so the weather was typically rainy, we still loved just sitting in the living room (or the back deck during breaks in the weather) to gaze out at it. Just lovely. The place is pretty much totally private, well appointed, like new and so so clean. Comfy beds and nice big bathrooms too. We literally have no complaints and will be back next year for our small business retreat!

Great Family escape from the ice storm.
4/5 stars
We have had a wonderful time to visit with our extended family. Our family enjoyed the foosball table, watching ducks on the pond and playing games. The home is beautiful with lots of space and well stocked. We found only one pot holder in the main kitchen, the house could use a few more. The queen bed down stairs (with the twin bed nook) could be replaced, it is very broke down and sags significantly. During our visit we found quite a bit of ladybug type bugs in the living room. Overall our trip was delightful.

Wonderful vacation home
5/5 stars
My family of 6 adults, a 17 year old, and 2 toddlers spent Thanksgiving week at this awesome house. It was great! The house fit our family perfectly. The lake was beautiful, the fire pit at night was so relaxing, and the town was so cute with lots of shops and restaurants. We all hope to stay here again.

Beautiful Home on a Beautiful Lake

We had an amazing time. Beautiful house with all you need. Outdoor space great for kids. Additional room above garage was handy for our large group. Will be back.

Fabulous place!
5/5 stars
What a fabulous house and setting! The house was beautiful and perfectly designed. The smallest details, like laundry soap, was provided. Foisball was a huge hit! The beds were so comfortable. The lake was nearly private. The canoe was so fun! Jim, the representative was very responsive to any of my questions for the year or so before we arrived. Our family definitely wants to come back. It was the perfect place to vacation as a large family. I wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars!

Fantastic :)

The location was perfect, situated next to a lake that made for stunning views. The property itself was beautiful, with a spacious backyard where my wife could practice her archery skills. With 8 people and 2 dogs in our group, the home provided ample space for all of us to spread out comfortably. The large dining room was also a highlight, allowing us to gather and enjoy meals together. Overall, I highly recommend this vacation home for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

The group were great guests! They went above and beyond, leaving the house in great condition when they left. We would gladly have them back!

Beautiful location!
5/5 stars
The view overlooking the lake is so beautiful! The home was comfortable and convenient for a large group, especially with two washing machines. Be aware that a minimum of supplies seem to be available. I was glad we brought our own shampoo etc because the supplied ones are small, travel size. We almost ran out of dishwasher tablets and washing detergent also, so you may want to bring some for an extended stay. It's a drive of about 15 minutes back to town, very limited cell service but wifi is available.

Secluded paradise
5/5 stars
This beautiful, 5 bedroom, 5 bath, home is located on a spacious lake, yet you feel like you are all alone. We had 10 people from 5 different families and although we were all together, we had our own space. All this and a few minutes from the Oregon Dunes and beautiful Florence. It's hard to describe, but was a great trip.

Beautiful house and location!
5/5 stars
Siltcoos Landing is a beautiful house and property. It has plenty of room and amenities. The check-in and check-out procedures were very easy. The house cleaners were still there when we arrived at 4pm. They did a fairly good job on such a large house. They needed another 30 minutes to finish even after we had arrived. The floors were still wet from them mopping so it was really hard to start unpacking the groceries we had brought with us. Supplies are very very limited so make sure to bring all your own: dish soap, bathroom supplies, baggies, tinfoil, plastic wrap, garbage bags, etc..

Lovely stay near the lake
5/5 stars
Great house right near the lake. House is beautiful. Well stocked, clean, spacious enough to accommodate 10 adults easily with plenty of privacy. Bedrooms were nice and beds were comfy. The lake was good fun for fishing and canoeing. Wonderful stay! Thank you

Big, beautiful lake house
5/5 stars
Perfect place for large groups with a fantastic lake view. We celebrated Thanksgiving with four generations at this extremely well appointed home. We loved having two kitchens and especially the two fridges! Plenty of room for our large group and Jim was a great host and answered any questions we had quickly. We'd love to come stay again. Thank you!

Spacious, comfortable, and clean!
5/5 stars
A group of us came to Florence for work. Rather than renting separate hotels rooms we rented Siltcoos Landing. We ABSOLUTELY loved this house! LOTS of space for us to have our own rooms, bathrooms, and even separate kitchens! The house was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook our own meals. The house was VERY clean and organized. I would highly recommend this house for any group.

Great Home! Great Location!
5/5 stars
This home was perfect for our family. We brought 8 adults and 4 kids on our trip to Florence. Having this much space was a must. The home sits beautifully on the lake at the end of a long private road. The host made the check-in and check-out process quite easy. Thank you very much for a great stay!

Amazing Home
5/5 stars
My husband and I treated our family to a vacation; 10 people total. Obviously with COVID we haven’t seen some family members for almost 2 years. This was the first time that we’ve all been together in almost 10 years. The Lake House was amazing! It’s extremely spotless, comfortable and absolutely gorgeous. We all had our own rooms and there was plenty of space for us to all get together. The views are stunning and I actually added an extra day because I wasn’t ready to leave. The deck was a perfect spot in the morning for coffee and in the evening to enjoy a glass of wine. The fire pit was a great place for us to all gather together and end our day. I hope we get to come back some day. Absolutely perfect!! Jim was always attentive if we needed anything at all. Thank you for this spectacular place to spend our vacation. Truly, The Gieseke Family

Beautiful home on Siltcoos Lake
5/5 stars
Our family of eleven had a wonderful three days at the Siltcoos Lake house. The location was great, with historic Florence and the ocean nearby. We easily slipped our kayaks in the water for a morning paddle and our bikers loved the ride around the lake. We are a family who loves to cook, and the bright, well appointed kitchen was a perfect place to hang out. It even came complete with a bag of seafood crackers that allowed us to crack fresh crab from Novelli’s on the wharf. All 11 of us could fit around the large dining table. Jim, our contact at itrip was very responsive and accommodating! We look forward to a return trip.

Birthday Bash
5/5 stars
We were blessed to have this beautiful home. My boss celebrated my 10 year anniversary of employment by allowing me to choose anywhere my husband and I wanted to go. We decided to book this property to celebrate my 60th birthday and 6 other March birthdays. We chose this area because of out of the country restrictions with COVID and my love of Oregon. This home was complete with anything and everything we could imagine. We chose this home knowing we might be kept indoors alot due to weather, rain is common this time of year there. As it turns out, we did have rain! On the daily. Nevertheless, because the home was so spacious, equipped and comfortable, we spent quality time indoors with our family ajd friends who traveled near and far to be with us! The downstairs was equipped with a full kitchen, laundry room and beautiful furnishings throughout. The upstairs the same. I loved, loved this home for the fact it had 2 kitchens, 2 laundry rooms, plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for a large group and let's not forget the mini studio or apartment above the garage! It was perfect for a small family or a couple wanting more privacy. We would recommend this home to everyone! The views were spectacular and having a true fire pit down by the lake is awesome, we weren't able to use it because of the rain. Firewood ay the property would have been nice, in the event we could have used it. The gas fire pit on the patio was nice, once we were able to dry out the chairs, but the propane ran out. Would of been nice, if the tanks were checked and filled for guests. The deck on the upper level was complete with a grill and large table that was perfect. We hope to go back again someday, and so do our guests. We would rent this home again in a heartbeat! The hosts allowed our fur babies, and for that we are truly grateful! They are a big part of our family and by having them with us, it made our trip even more enjoyable! Yes, there were other homes that allowed pets, but none compared to this gorgeous property! Jim was great from start to finish and we appreciated him responding quickly to any and all our needs. We all had an awesome time and took home with us memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you for stocking this place with all, right down to a first aid kit!

great, quiet location
5/5 stars
House is on a dead-end road and quiet and private location. The house is very new and well laid out and well furnished. We were 5 couples and each one had their own bathroom available, either in the room or just across the hall. Kitchen and great room is large with a nice view of the lake. Easy level access from driveway. Bedroom above garage is large, and nice, but could use more chairs and places for suitcases. Downstairs bar area is very comfortable with large refer, sink with nice access to patio,. Overall, it is a well thought out place to spend a vacation. Would do it again.

Florence Lake House
5/5 stars
Wow!! What a beautiful welcoming place the Lake house is. We had 10 adults and 6 children from 2 to 14, and we had a ball!! We never felt on top of each other. The kitchen and living room area is so open and the two patios gave us so many options. The dock and lake gave us hours of fun. The yard was perfect for kids to run around and play. Great fire pit. The lawn was a bit over watered, but it did not stop us from using. I can not say enough great things about this property! We will make this an annual family vacation destination!
- Cindy
Highly recommend this beautiful house

Our family rents a home every year in a different state for vacation. This house and location on siltcoos lake has got to be among the best yet! Well equipped and plenty of room for all 12 of us. Every thing has been perfect!! Thank you!!!

Siltcoos landing
5/5 stars
This home is amazing, quality built. The lake views were so appreciated, from the decks, bedrooms and living spaces. Everything was immaculate, the 3 master suites had the most luxurious mattresses and pillows , as did the queen. You will never regret booking this home and like us, book again. Another plus is the short ride to the beach.

Beautiful Home - Beautiful Setting
5/5 stars
This home was super clean and beautiful. The layout of the home (two levels and the space above the garage) gave the perfect level of privacy and togetherness. The setting on the lake was so beautiful. The deck, barbecue grill, firepit and canoe made it extra fun. One could spend an entire week just on the property and it would be enjoyable, but there are many places to visit nearby. I would highly recommend this property.
- Stephanie
Perfect week!
5/5 stars
What a beautiful, memorable family week at this lovely lake side home. My husband and I, our three children and spouses, and seven grandchildren loved spending the week together. We were fortunate to enjoy sunshine each day. The highlights of the trip included the lovely home, the private and spacious property, and being close enough to the beach to enjoy afternoons at the beach. The property also has a great fire pit and we enjoyed a big bonfire with s’more’s. Hopefully we can all come back again soon. Thank you for opening up your lovely home to us. Also, the property management and the owner were a delight to work with… Very attentive and timely communications.

Great Stay

Nothing but positive things to say about our visit. Lovely home, lovely location, and very accommodating host!

Wonderful property for large family. Extremely relaxing experience.
5/5 stars
From booking to exit everything was flawless. Property is situated off a secluded private drive. Long driveways take you down to the waterfront. Home inside is exactly as the photos show. Clean, comfortable, modern. When we were there most items were so new they hadn’t been touched. Each floor is a complete apartment. Master and guest bedrooms, living rooms, laundry, and outside space. Our teenager enjoyed having his own space in the apartment above the garage. Our kids were able to run and play outside with no fear of traffic or strangers. Lake is beautiful all day but especially at sunset. We used the firepit and found that the most relaxing end to our days. Location is excellent for access to the dunes. Just a couple miles to center of town if you need supplies. Plenty of parking if you have trailers for your toys. During our stay, the property manager was attentive and available when we needed him. Literally the ONLY thing that could make this better would be access to park or store our bikes in the garage. But that wasn’t a deal breaker. Honestly, we wish we would have booked two weeks. Didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend this property.
