*At "Blackbeard's Return" there is access to Shoals Club or Bald Head Island Club Temporary Memberships. You must join as a temporary member. Temporary membership fees will apply.

*Please keep in mind the BHI CLUB is now capping registration for their guest memberships. If you wish to attend the club during your stay please apply ASAP. Please visit the BHI Club website to see and review their NEW rules and fees. Keep in mind there are new rules regarding what days you can attend the club and what activities guest members can use, please refer to their site or call them for more details. We do not control club rates, rules, or restrictions. No discount or refund will be provided if club membership is restricted or denied. Please check club websites to verify all temporary membership pricing as rates may change.

*You have access to Golf with the membership for an additional fees, please contact BHI Club directly for more detailed information.

*NO SMOKING allowed at this property.

*This is a DOG FRIENDLY HOME: A non-refundable Pet fee of $250 will be added to your rental if you choose to bring your dog. The Pet Fee for two dogs is $350.

*Please make yourself aware of our cancellation policy. Insurance is highly recommended.

*Maximum Occupancy: 10 Occupants - Children must be counted within the maximum occupancy unless they are under the age of two (2) and are sleeping in a crib.

*Tenant Requirements: Tenant stated on the Agreement/Booking must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age, and acknowledge that they will occupy the Property during the entire tenancy.

*Manager and owner of the rental property are not responsible for citations received while staying at the property.

*Be respectful of the house and contents - it is someone's home. Respect the neighbors and neighborhood.

*No events or parties. If determined that a party/event is taking place at property, management has the right to evict tenants and guests with no refund given.

*If determined that a party took place on any of the nights reserved, reservation guest will be charged $500, no exceptions.

iTrip NC Beaches Cancellation Policy

  North Carolina Beaches
Cancellation 60 days or more before your stay will receive a refund less the cancellation fee of $350. Cancellation 60 days or less before your stay will not receive a refund unless the same dates are re-booked. If that occurs you will receive a refund less the cancellation fee of $350. Additional details with regards to cancellation policies and procedures may be found in Section #15 of the Rental Agreement as provided at checkout.

  • Outside of Airbnb rules and restrictions, all guests will have to agree to the iTrip Vacations NC Beaches Vacation Rental Agreement

  • Bookings created by guests under 25 years of age will be cancelled without refund
  • Maximum Occupancy: Each property’s maximum occupancy is stated within the Agreement and located in the Property Description;  If at any given time, the maximum occupancy is exceeded, the tenant will be in material breach of the lease and grounds for expedited eviction will apply in addition to a fine.
  • No Student Groups, Weddings, or Parties
  • No more than 4x Minors per adult
  • No Smoking Permitted
  • Pets are not allowed in properties that are not Pet Friendly
  • Travel Insurance is highly recommended.

Best of a tough situation

We got stuck in a 1000 year flood for the island .very stressful as food and water were an issue But that said ,the home was very nice clean and well appointed.although I small roof leak from the storm happened. I trip did check in with us in person , the fella road a bike thru 2 feet of water to check on us. So the experience we had with itrip was good as for Mother Nature not so much.now it will be a chore trying to leave the swamp lol

The house was lovely. The beds were very comfortable. The only thing we did not like was the house was surrounded by trees that had not been trimmed, so there was no view. The location of the house was great and if they trimmed the trees, you could see hole 9 and the ocean. There was a porch upstairs and the ocean was visible. The house was well stocked with appliances. Air fryer, etc. if they trim the bushes, we will be back!! They had 4 golf carts!

Great place to stay on Bald Head Island

We had a great time in Blackbeard's Return on Bald Head Island. The House was well furnished and stocked, bedrooms, kitchen, porches as promised. The location was great and we had access to everything with the provided golf carts and bikes. We also were able to cook out one night on the provided grill. There are always little hiccups, but ITrip NC was very responsive and all were resolved quickly. I highly recommend!

Blackbeard's Return on Bald Head Island

Our extended family of 7 plus 2 dogs had a great stay at Blackbeard's Return. The location is excellent for easy beach access by golf cart, bike, or walking. We did learn that this section of the beach is not the place for much more than wading very close to the shore so we used carts or bikes when we wanted to spend more time in the surf. For sunset viewing, however, it can't be beat! The house is right next to the BHI Club which was very convenient for the golfers and tennis players in our group. We also consider ourselves very lucky to find a place that would allow both dogs and they enjoyed seeing the neighborhood deer on walks! There were a few small issues that were resolved quickly so overall we are happy to recommend this vacation home and may return ourselves someday!

Family Gathering Spot

We six came from across the country to celebrate my 80th birthday and others birthdays also. Fabulous house with great amenties. Because we are a golfing family, the location was IDEAL to the BHI club and course. Our final day was literally a washout, so we traveled the island shopping and taking in the scenery all the way out to Cape Fear lookout. LOve the idea of golf carts everywhere...there is a quiet and quaint feeling about the island. I would recommend both this particular house and island to folks seeking a fabulous getaway spot.

We visited for some pre-construction meetings on the island. We requested to extend our trip 3 different times and iTrip was very responsive and accommodating. House had everything we need plus nice ocean views from the top deck. The proximity to the BHI Club was great and we even walked there several times.

Have been to BHI yearly since 2017. have stayed in multiple places. Very pleased with the place. It's secluded so neighbors weren't an issue. Most locals are cool but there are enough there to run into some rude ones LOL. The distance to the beach was the biggest issue but not a big issue. BHI club close by but I stopped using that service years ago. Great location for Marina/shops. Kids had a great time. Minor issues with the house and golf carts but iTrips were very easy to work with to get them resolved. Plan to rent again next year.

My family had an amazing stay at this home. The location was great, close to the gold club and close to the beach, and the house was fantastic. Very updated with a great kitchen. Beds were comfortable. The owners were very flexible and let us check in early when when we were able to catch an earlier ferry. I will absolutely stay here again!

Amazing Beach House

We have been vacationing at Bald Head Island for the last 15 years. We have stayed at multiple rental properties, and this is by far our favorite! We have rented this house three times in just over the last year. The homeowners have thought of everything to make this a great rental property and allow their renters to have an amazing beach vacation. The house is very kid and pet friendly. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything that you could need during your trip to the beach. There are plenty of bicycles for the whole family to enjoy. They provide both indoor and outdoor games to play. There is a very nice screened in porch to allow you to enjoy the outdoors without getting bothered by bugs. The house also allows you to get memberships to both of the clubs on the island. The baldhead Island club is within view of the house and is a very short walking distance from the house. We have enjoyed every stay at this house so far, and will definitely be back again!

This is one of the most well stocked houses we’ve stayed in on BHI. Kitchen tools, games for all ages, beach towels and toys, and so much more! The listing very accurately reflected the property. Walk to BHIC and the house is just a short cart ride to beach access. Highly recommend!

Great stay on Bald Head

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blackbeard's Return on Bald Head Island. Excellent home with all the necessities. The home was well maintained and was stocked with games and videos (via HD connected to main TV). Good location on the island and some truly beautiful sunrises from a large screened porch. The only downside to location was noise, the house was located across a small pond from the golf course and early morning you had engine noises from the grounds keepers and noise from the tennis courts in he afternoon. The upstairs deck was quiet and had great views of the ocean which made up for the small interruptions early in the morning. This was not an issue for us but if you had small children using the bunk bedroom you had to access the upstairs deck though that room.

Great house. We love the layout. Super clean and well stocked with board games and puzzles. The picture clarity on the TV's was exceptional. And our Yellow Lab loved that he had a short walk to the pond beside #9 green for his daily swims. Easy walk to the beach. We didn't want to leave and we will definitely come back. The one little issue with the dishwasher was IMMEDIATELY tended to by your maintenance crew. Thanks.

Blackbeard"s Return was a perfect choice for our first BHI visit as it provided great logistics to all locations-shops-beach-dog walking-clubs-ferry etc. The house worked well for 7 adults and 3 dogs. I have noted per my VRBO review that I would recommend "tick" repelent be available as ticks were plentiful.In addition,I noted that the first floor "kink" br toilet would run. I also recommended that the outdoor shower stall have hooks inside for towel and clothing. Madison is a great asset to your "family" biz and I wish you continued positive health and success. We loved our little getaway. It was a wonderful house plenty of room for five adults and two young children. The only thing we wished was if the house had a closer beach access or a better view of the ocean. The management company was awesome. They gave us a refund for the pet fee since we didn’t end up bring the dogs and for us helping clean out the outside trash cans with out us even asking! I would love to stay at the house again but would love to stay with any house iTrip has because of their wonderful customer.

Our biggest disappointment was the view from the terrace onto a field of dead trees being hauled in daily by big trucks which was not shown in the pictures. The location of the house was great but the noise from the trucks and the club was not relaxing. Also the upstair bedrooms had no mirrors or lamps for reading except a light in the fan. The positives that it was clean, kitchen was well equipped and the golf carts made it easy to access the island. After getting a feel for the island, I will be renting from ITRIP again but a different home. Claire

Awesome Experience

We have been vacationing to Bald Head Island for over 13 years. Blackbeard’s Return was one of the best experiences we have ever had on the island! We vacationed shortly after hurricane Isaias, and everything was wonderful. The island was still cleaning up from the hurricane, but Blackbeard’s return was ready for our arrival without any issues. Everything in the house is well labeled and the house is very well laid out. We have small children, and the house had ample room for them to play and have a great time. The kitchen was well stocked, and by far the BEST kitchen we have ever had in a rental. Every appliance you could ever need was available and well cleaned. There were plenty of enough towels for everyone. The house has amazing views of the ocean and golf course. It is within walking distance to the BHI club, making it very easy to walk back and forth with small children. There were 2 awesome golf carts that worked well for our family. The house gives you the opportunity to join both the BHI Club and Shoals Club. itrip vacations was very easy to work with and made this an awesome experience for the whole family. Overall, we had a blast! We HIGHLY recommend Blackbeard’s Return and itrip vacations! We will definitely be back!!!

Awesome Week at Blackbeard’s!

We had a fantastic week and stay with a group of our friends. The house was very clean and well stocked with all the necessities (We left deciding that we needed the Ninja Air Fryer / Instapot combo that they had in the kitchen!). Great location next to the beach and BHI Club, easy to access to main roads for bike rides/running/walks, and great porches for coffee in the AM and chatting about the day over drinks at night. Would recommend over and over, and are already planning our next trip to the island!

We had a great time in BHI. The management team was excellent! They always checked on us to see if we needed anything, were available by text at any time, and when our golf cart broke down they offered their own until they could get ours fixed. Five stars all the way!

Great stay at Blackbeard’s Return!

A wonderful house with great use of space and perfect for our 2 families! Everything seemed new and clean. Bathrooms were renovated and spacious and kitchen is updated with everything you will need. Porches allowed for a variety of views and screened in porch was our favorite spot to drink coffee in the morning or wine at night. It is super close to the BHI club and the kids would just walk there regularly for a swim. Two golf carts are in great condition and easy to drive with no battery issues. We loved the outdoor shower and everyone showered there throughout our stay. Highly recommend this house!!
