About

How many homes in Downtown Annapolis have 4 Bedrooms with 4 Baths (3 of which are en-suite)?!

Just 1-2 blocks from the Annapolis waterfront, the State Capitol, restaurants, shopping and the Naval Academy, this cherished property is registered with the Historical Society of Annapolis (originally home to “Sam’s Grocery”—a beloved neighborhood corner-store).

After Sam's Grocery closed up shop in the eighties, the building was converted into a bed and breakfast, most recently called the "Chez Amis Inn". Now its a unique rental home and you have the entire place to yourself! Each of the three upstairs bedrooms has been named by the former innkeepers and they are a tribute to the State Capitol's history. On the main floor you will find the Treaty of Paris Room-a library with an en Suite bath and Full size Sleeper sofa.

**Parking is not on premises!! A dedicated parking spot at nearby garage (15-minute walk from the house) is provided. Please contact us for details.

Reviews

Always a pleasant stay
5/5 stars
This is our third year staying at the Wisteria during the US Sailboat show. As a vendor working the show it is nice to come back to a very comfortable home. We all love the quirkiness of the house. There are four of us here and we all have our own bedroom and bathroom making our 7 night stay much easier. We'll be back for 2025!

Historic home in a perfect location
5/5 stars
The Wisteria is a perfect place to stay in Annapolis. Only a few minutes walk to just about anywhere in the downtown area. Plenty of shops, restaurants, and the waterfront are just minutes away. The home was well stocked and comfortable. Exactly as advertised. Love that the home was pup friendly so our little guy could come explore the town with us. The locals are all very friendly and we had such a nice time.

Wonderful weekend at Wisteria
5/5 stars
Extended family of nine adults spent a wonderful three night break at Wisteria Annapolis. The house is full of character, very spacious, spotless, has all facilities required and is in a brilliant location very close to the centre of Annapolis. The property managers were very helpful and always responded to our queries promptly. Thank you for facilitating a lovely visit to Annapolis.

Love it!
5/5 stars
The Wisteria Inn is awesome. It is beautifully furnished and appointed. The location is great for visiting downtown Annapolis, everything we wanted to visit was within walking distance or a short Uber ride. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Location in Historical District with Limitations
3/5 stars
This house is in a great location (historic district) really close to the harbor and state house. It does have some limitations that you need to be willing to live with. The queen bed in the Law Library bedroom is so uncomfortable it is almost un-sleepable. The Annapolis bedroom is the only bedroom without a ceiling fan, as the upstairs is much warmer than downstairs. The two in-suite showers were very small and were very hard to maneuver in and out of. We would suggest trying the on street parking rather than the parking garage, as the 0.7 mile walk is a hike. With that said, my family enjoyed the experience of being together in the house.

Wisteria is home away from home
5/5 stars
Amazing hosts at Wisteria! Perfect set up for our family to visit our Mid for 2/C parents weekend. All Of the comforts of home. Any questions we had were immediately answered and addresses. Highly recommend staying at Wisteria.

Loved it
5/5 stars
Originally from Annapolis, so knew of this property just from knowing the area well. Wasn't a surprise that it was in a prime location, but was very happy with the overall feel and decor. The pictures on the listing do not do it justice - it has historic colonial charm that the photos make look outdated. Much cuter inside!
- Madeline

Thanks, Madeline! So glad you enjoyed the home and had a great visit. Please come back and stay with us again next time you’re in Annapolis! Sean
