About

Visit the magic of Annapolis during the Thanksgiving and Holiday Season

This is a unique home like none other in downtown Annapolis. Originally the Eastport Volunteer Fire Company, founded in 1864, Eastport native Art Tuers joined the company in 1949 at the age of 16. The largest fires Tuers and the dozen or so other active volunteers battled were at the Carvel Hall Hotel in 1961, in the building which was later restored as the William Paca House!

Located across the Annapolis harbor, the "Maritime Republic of Eastport" offers unique views of the Naval Academy, the Chesapeake Bay and the Annapolis Marina. Located a short walk from the home is "Eastport Restaurant Row", serving up fresh seafood along with great steakhouses, it’s the perfect place to get away from the bustle of downtown. It’s also one of the only areas where you can dine right alongside the water, enjoying a great meal while catching the sun dipping behind Annapolis.

When entering the home on the first floor, you will be welcomed by the original brick floors in the foyer mudroom. Take the wooden staircase up to the second floor where you will find the 9-foot ceilings over the open kitchen, dining and family room which opens onto a fully-furnished screened-in porch with a gas fireplace. In addition to the living space, the 2nd floor has 2 En Suite bedrooms: the Master features its own large balcony facing the quiet neighborhood street. To find the living sleeping space on the first floor, either walk down the spiral staircase from the family room or enter from the garage door off the 1st floor entrance. The 1st floor has a full living/bedroom space with a queen bed, sleeper sofa and full bath and a 2nd living space/rec room with a kitchenette in the garage.

All 3 living spaces have big-screen TVs; all bedrooms have their own TV.

Great stay!
5/5 stars
Spent a week at the Firehouse and loved it! The house is really lovely, spacious, well-equipped, and the host is incredibly responsive. We loved the location and neighborhood and the fact that the house is dog friendly was a big plus for us since we traveled with our 2 little dogs! The neighborhood is incredibly dog friendly and we loved that we could walk to several restaurants. A big hit and we had a great visit.

Great location and fun home
5/5 stars
The location in Eastport has a lot of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. In addition historic Annapolis is a short 2miles away. The home has a ton of character and was a great space to celebrate the holidays. Very roomy and located in a charming neighborhood. Awesome communications by the host.

Beautiful and unique house in a great location!
5/5 stars
We had a fantastic stay at the Annapolis Firehouse! The house was clean and comfortable with two great porches to relax on. We especially enjoyed the open air front porch with easy access from the master bedroom. We spent three nights at the home during the sailboat show and the location was perfect to walk to local Eastport coffee shops and restaurants and was also an easy walk to downtown. We traveled with our two dogs and although there is no yard at the house, the neighborhood is very dog friendly with little pocket parks nearby and well lit sidewalks. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, this home would be a great place to stay with other couples as everyone would have their own spaces. We will definitely stay at the Firehouse again when we visit Annapolis!

The firehouse exceeded expectations!
5/5 stars
Our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 adult children + 1 significant other) had an amazing stay at the firehouse. As our son said, the outside of the house does not reflect the beauty and comfort inside. The separate living space in the first floor allowed enough space and privacy for a young couple. The wide open kitchen and living room area gave us a place to gather. Overall a unique and very pleasurable experience. Also Eastport is a quiet place to get get away from the lively streets of downtown Annapolis. Highly recommended!!

Unique home for Commissioning
5/5 stars
My family thoroughly enjoyed the Annapolis Firehouse. We stayed for Commissioning Week 2023. The location was easily walkable to DTA and the Academy. We found that we were always able to find street parking. The home it self was very fun, comfortable for family members who joined us and well appointed. Appliances were high end. The shower in the master bathroom is amazing! We appreciated the extra fridge in the garage which we used to store beverages and meat. There was a grill which we pulled out onto the driveway to grill burgers and steaks. We hosted a small grad party with a charcuterie on the island on the kitchen. All of our guests commented on the fun location. The BEST part of our stay was the kind neighbors on either side who took time to greet us and even attended our party. My only suggestion for improvement would be hangers in the closets.

Fantastic Firehouse
5/5 stars
My husband and I were in town for a long weekend to visit our Midshipman at the USNA. The Firehouse was conveniently located in Eastport. Our Midn stayed with us the whole time and we all were very comfortable in the house. Very clean, and spacious! We felt very at home there. Relaxing and catching up with our son. We look forward to staying here many more times during our visits over the next couple of years.

Family Gathering
5/5 stars
The Firehouse was the perfect place for our family (5 adults) to spend Christmas together. The neighborhood is quiet yet only 1 mile to historic Annapolis. There was plenty of comfortable sitting and dining space, and high end appliances in the kitchen where we prepared some gourmet meals. Beds were comfortable, linens and towels high quality, and the master bedroom shower was over the top. The weather was too cold for us to enjoy the beautiful sun porch off the living room—- we’ll have to come back in the spring!

Wonderful Place!
5/5 stars
The firehouse is incredibly welcoming and wonderful. Beautifully designed and furnished. The pictures don't do it justice! We really enjoyed the kitchen, family room and porches. The master shower is amazing! iTrip was great to work with and over the top helpful in making the arrangements. We're already planning a future stay, and I would definitely stay at one of their other places. Great experience from beginning to end!

Stayed at The Firehouse and it was perfect for two families with young children under 5. The house had everything we needed for our stay, was pet friendly so the dog could be with us, and convenient to downtown Annapolis. Will definitely be coming back! The iTrips team were very communicative, helpful and responsive. Will absolutely be working with them on our future vacations!
