About

When the owners decided to find their Annapolis home base, they knew they had to be within walking distance to the one’s USNA alma mater. What they found with this special home is so much more! This historic home's family room off the kitchen has the most stunning decorative fireplace dating back to 1730. It was the meeting place of the 18th century social "Tuesday Club" that is rumored to have hosted Benjamin Franklin. This centrally-located home is three blocks to City Dock, a block from Gates 1 and 3, and a block from charming Maryland Avenue's shops and restaurants.

**Parking is not on premises!! A dedicated parking spot at nearby garage (10/15-walk from the house) is provided. Please contact us for details.

The main floor is welcoming and spacious while all newly-decorated to host your family gathering. Walk through the bright entry hallway or formal living room with ample seating to the dining room, with decorative fireplace and seating for 8. The light and airy kitchen with custom tile has a Viking stove, stainless side-by-side refrigerator with water dispenser, dishwasher, breakfast table for 2 and large pantry. Adjacent to the kitchen is a laundry room with half bathroom and cozy family room. The brick family room features comfortable seating, another decorative fireplace, and a 65” flat screen smart TV to enjoy football games.

Head out the back door to the beautiful brick patio with an outdoor dining table for 6. The back patio also includes a gas BBQ, fire pit, Adirondack chairs for 4, and plenty of room to grill, relax and enjoy breathtaking views of the newly-renovated Naval Academy Chapel dome. Beautiful Home
5/5 stars
Beautiful home and perfect location to walk to everything in the historic district of Annapolis. The house is meticulously maintained, which we greatly appreciated - very clean, well stocked, nicely and comfortably furnished. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out. And a large private serene backyard. Highly recommend.

The best 4th of July vacation
5/5 stars
A house with a lovely combination of history and modernity in an amazing location! We balanced hitting many of the historic DC spots with the quaint, easy-going environment of "home" in Annapolis. DC is an easy 30-50 minutes, depending on time and traffic pattern. After driving to and from DC, it was a treat to easily walk to dinner, drinks, shopping, and ice-cream. The parking garage was an easy walk and there were even scooters for rent near by for us to ride back to the house one evening! The house was clean, cool and comfy. Loved the recliners in the front window....like sitting on a porch but without the heat and humidity. Was grateful for the powerful AC and extra fans as the days got progressively hotter during our stay. Everything was just amazing!

From arrival to departure, Chapel Vista made you feel like you were on vacation. The home had historic charm with modern conveniences. The layout -- including kitchen and patio were great for entertaining. Our family is already discussing making Chapel Vista a reunion spot for future gatherings.

History All Around
5/5 stars
What a treat to be staying on Tuesday, July 4th, 2023, near the main gate of the US Naval Academy, in a house that was the site of the Tuesday Club, where Ben Franklin and other historical figures met to discuss current events! We enjoyed lovely views all around from the comfort of tastefully updated quarters.

What a beautiful home! We stayed here for I-day and it was the perfect location. We ran back a few times to drop things off! I wish we would have been able to spend more time in the home especially the back room.

Home away from Home
5/5 stars
We had an amazing stay at Chapel Vista! The house was beautiful, the right blend of old world mixed with modern amenities needed to make our stay feel like a home away from home. It was also super clean and the kitchen was fully equipped. We were right next to the Naval Academy, so our mid can easily walk over. The house was near all the shops and restaurants! We could not have asked for a better place to celebrate our daughter’s birthday!

Could Not be Happier
5/5 stars
If you have any concerns about booking this house, don’t. This house is beautiful with a lovely backyard and all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but besides that I could not be happier with our weekend stay. I would definitely rent again on a return trip.

Annapolis Weekend
5/5 stars
This house was in a perfect location. We were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go. It was clean and comfortable. So very charming! It was a little warm - I’m not sure if there are air condition window units to put into the second floor bedrooms windows as there were some on both the first and third floors. The washing machine needed repair. It made maddening loud noises as it washed the clothes. We could only put a wash in if we were leaving the house.
- Lisa
Very Charming and Comfortable

We had a great stay at Chapel Vista. The home is very charming, comfortable, and clean, and the location is very close to the Yard, shops, and restaurants.

WOW!! Beautiful, Convenient Home
5/5 stars
We had the best weekend with our Midshipman and her friends at Chapel Vista. We could stand on the porch and see Gate 1 and Gate 3 is just around the corner. The kids enjoyed the 3rd floor bedroom overlooking the Chapel. Check in and out were both easy. Great communication throughout the weekend to make sure we didn't need anything. We will be staying here again. We parked in the parking garage with the pass. This would be a great place for those coming into Annapolis without a vehicle.

Perfect Location for Our Reunion
5/5 stars
We loved our time at Chapel Vista -- 3 families shared the home for our 15 year USNA reunion. It was perfectly located and ready for our group. Home and backyard much bigger in person. We would 100% stay again. Thanks for a great trip.

Fantastic Home in Historic Annapolis
5/5 stars
We had a wonderful stay in this home with my family group of 7 (ages 79-10). It was both larger and lovelier than I had expected. The 1st floor has a lot of room to read and watch TV, with a backyard that has a beautiful view. The second floor has 2 bedrooms (comfortable beds!), 2 bathrooms, and a lot of closet space. My 3 kids (ages 16-10) loved the 3rd floor, which is one large room with 3 beds, that they claimed as their den. The only real drawback is no on-site parking (not surprising in a historic area) so we parked on the street long enough to unload and parked in a garage about 10 minutes walk away. This wasn't a problem because this property was in easy walking distance to everything we wanted to see, we could walk out for coffee and crepes and shopping and walk back to relax . So glad we stayed there and would again in a heartbeat.

Chapel View and SO much more!!
5/5 stars
We rented this home for Commissioning Week ‘22, and it was perfect for our family! The location, right outside Gate 3, made entering and existing campus a breeze, especially for the big events like Color Parade, Blue Angels, the Supe’s Reception and the Grad Ball! We were able to allow our Midshipman’s friends and their families to stop by during the day as a resting place and a place to get ready when needed!! The home is beautifully decorated, and the kitchen was very well appointed, with everything we needed during our stay. The home has 2 full bathrooms, and a half bath with a washer and dryer. Perfect for traveling families. The beds were so comfortable! We enjoyed spending time in the backyard around the fire pit making s’mores with the great views (at all times of day) of the Chapel Dome. During the week, we could hear the music from the Supe’s party in the background, and the chimes from the Chapel Bell! The hosts were so accommodating, and easy to get in touch with. Although this house does not have parking, we were prepared and did not rent a car. We were able to utilize Uber/lyft when needed without issue, and the close proximity to the yard allow our Midshipman to easily access her car which was parked on the yard. We enjoyed taking a morning stroll to Starbucks in DTA in the mornings, and taking in all the sights and sounds of both Annapolis and the yard. We are already planning a trip for football in the fall and hope to stay with iTrip properties again!
