Explore and hike the numerous trails of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park only minutes away, or fish the day away in the nearby Little Tennessee River, which is teeming with Rainbow and Brown trout. As the warm winds of late spring and summer sweep through these hallowed valleys and hollers, head to the river for a slow raft or tube ride or go swimming or snorkeling in these pristine mountain waters. Then, when your adventures are done for the day, nestle in to this spacious open air cabin with an abundance of windows that capture views on every side.

After you cross over the Little Tennessee River bridge in Walland and turn on to E. Millers Cove Road, you can leave all of your worries behind. The three and a half mile approach to this property fully welcomes you to the Great Smoky Mountains with century old cabins, homes, churches, and sprawling farms. Drive slow on this winding road as this community is teeming with a variety of wildlife such as wild turkeys, deer, black bears, birds of prey, ground hogs, and many other species. After driving over one of only a few cattle underpasses in East Tennessee, you soon will find yourself close to your destination on Reed Creek as it slowly carves its way through the Chilhowee Mountain Range.
Adventure is great, but on this property you also have a license to chill. Relax in the pristine waters of the creek with a cold drink in your hand, take an extended nap in the large hammock on the Hillbilly Overlook, or put on your BBQ apron and take advantage of the two charcoal grills on the back play area of the property. Once your BBQ feast is complete, eat on the large screened-in back porch that looks out to the creek. If you find relaxation by fire your best wind-down activity, there are two separate fire pits to enjoy in this sprawling two and a half acre forest. DO NOT place anything but paper and wood in the firepit, or additional fees for cleanup will apply. Any trash, such as cans, bottles, plastic, etc. must be bagged and placed in the outside bins. (See "Trash" in Household Rules for more Details).
RULES AND REGULATIONS
- Tenant agrees to leave the premises and its contents in the same condition, neat and tidy, as Tenant found the premises to be upon move-in, normal wear and tear expected. Beds should be stripped of linens and placed in a pile in each bedroom for housekeeping.
- All dishes are to be washed and all garbage removed from the premises and placed in outside receptacles. Please place trash bins in front of house for pickup.
- Close all blinds in all rooms.
- The maximum number of occupants shall not exceed 6 people, not including a child in a crib.
- Furnishings are not to be removed from the premises for use outside or in other properties.
- Pets are allowed as long as the Pet Fee is paid.
- Smoking is not allowed in the unit.
- Reservations are not made by or for a minor, defined as any person under the age of twenty-five (25).
- Tenant and any guest of Tenant shall obey all laws of the state of Tennessee, as well as local laws, at all times while they are on the premises. Failure to abide by the laws of Tennessee or the above rules may cause tenant to be asked to vacate the premises and forfeit all rents and security/damage deposits.
PETS ALLOWED
There is a $30.00 +tax cleaning fee per night to bring a pet. Tenant MUST contact us prior to check-in if bringing a pet, and cleaning pet-fee will be required. If evidence of pet is found on property without pet fee payment, then tenant will be charged an additional $150.00 PLUS the $30.00 +tax per night fee for duration of the stay.
If damages occur from pet, then Tenant is responsible in paying for said damages. Tenant is responsible for cleaning up after pet in yard as well as inside if accident's occur. An additional $100 cleaning fee will be charged for excessive pet waste and/or pet hair found after check-out. Pets must be crated when Tenants are off property.
NONSMOKING UNITSmoking is strictly prohibited. Your damage deposit will be forfeited and you will incur an additional charge for carpet cleaning and deodorizing if any evidence of smoking is found. This also includes the porches/decks/patios. Unfortunately, any evidence of smoking/vaping on the premises then the guests will be charged an additional $300 fee.
HOUSEKEEPING
There is no daily maid service. Linens and towels are included and not to be taken from the unit. An initial setup of trash liners, bathroom paper, and soap is provided. There is a one time cleaning fee included in the booking. Additional cleaning fees will be due in the event that the departure rules are not followed.
LINENS/TOWELS/SUPPLIES
The owners furnish linens and towels. Any lost or damaged linens will be deducted from your deposit. An initial supply of paper products is provided. Extra items needed are the responsibility of the Tenant. Limited cleaning supplies may be provided. We recommend that you bring any special items that you may need.
UTILITIES
No compensation will be given for temporary outage of electricity, gas, water, cable, or Wi-Fi service. Outages will be reported immediately and all efforts will be made to have them restored as soon as possible.
Do not place non-food items, bones, or other non perishibles in garbage disbosables (where applicable). If these items are found, then guest will be fined $100.
TOILET USE
Plumbing is sensitive. Do not flush anything except toilet paper down toilets. A clogged toilet is problematic and can require a hefty charge and many hours to fix. Only flush toilet paper in toilet.
TRASH
ALL TRASH MUST BE BAGGED BEFORE PLACING IN OUTSIDE BINS, OR GUEST CAN BE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $25. Please be considerate of our house keepers. THANK YOU!
