From this condo it is an easy walk to shops/restaurants or to the hiking trails, mountain bike trails, or the ski trails. The hot tub is just out the door. Everything you need in a mountain vacation is easily accessible from this conveniently located condo on Snowmass Mountain just next door to the Base Village area. In Base Village you will find The Treehouse children's ski school, the Elk Camp gondola and Fanny Hill chair lift, restaurants, shops, lift ticket office - all just 25 yards away. From the Base Village you may catch the Sky Cab to the upper mall area where you can enjoy shopping/restaurants as well as the free summer concert series. For great adventure, take the Elk Camp Gondola up to the Lost Forest for a ride on the breathtaker Alpine Coaster, Treeline Trial Challenge Course, and Rugged Ascent Climbing Wall. In addition, the Lost Forest operates as a home base for fishing, hiking, and disc golf.

The condo has a bedroom with 2 queen beds and a queen sofa bed in the living room area. There is a wood burning fireplace - hard to find in mountain resorts these days!

A full kitchen and dining space for 6 are found in this condo as well, making it an incredible value for your group of friends or small family. Complimentary assigned covered parking for one car. Vehicle must be under 6' 8" in height. Additional cars must register with the parking department and purchase a parking pass, $15/day, for the nearby lots in the winter and free in the summer.

The property has an outdoor pool and hot tub for your enjoyment. Just 2 blocks away you will find the transportation center where you can catch a free shuttle to any of the other 3 mountains for year round adventures or to downtown Aspen. Your trip to the Aspen Snowmass area will be a relaxing one with a great view, easy access to all amenities and recreation, and quality accommodations.

*If you are booking a stay in April, May, October or November please check with us with to be sure the pool/hot tub is operational during your stay if this is an important part of your vacation. The Lichenhearth is a non-smoking property. There is no smoking allowed any where on the property or the grounds surrounding the complex.

***Fall 2024, pool is closing for repairs and will be closed through the winter. The hot tub will be closing on September 30th and reopen in the winter season. If the common area amenities, such as pool and hot tub, close due to weather, mechanical or HOA requirements we do not offer refunds.***

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Tenant agrees to leave the premises and its contents in the same condition as Tenant found the premises to be upon move-in, normal wear and tear expected. 
  • All dishes are to be washed and all garbage removed from the premises and placed in outside receptacles at check-out. If the home is left in an excessively unclean manner please note we will charge $50/hour for additional cleaning time needed after your departure.  
  • The maximum number of occupants shall not be exceeded. Occupancy exceeding the sleeping capacity, using the premises for any illegal activity, causing damage to the premises rented or to any of the neighboring properties and any other acts which interferes with neighbors' right to quiet enjoyment of their premises are grounds for eviction.
  • Check-in time is after 4pm, may be as late as 5 or 6pm in peak winter and summer season.  Check-out time is 10am.
  • No open flames are permitted on balconies or in the unit with the exception of fire contained within a wood burning fireplace. Do not dismantle smoke detectors. Use the overhead stove fan when cooking to avoid accidental activation of smoke detector alarm.
  • There is no daily maid service.  Additional maid service can be arranged for a fee. Please contact us in advance for pricing.  A starter supply of paper products is provided.  Any additional needed during your stay is your responsibility.
  • "No pets or emotional support animals" policy must be observed. If evidence of a pet(s) is found in the unit or on the premises you will be asked to vacate immediately with no refund of rent or damage deposit.
  • Smoking (cigarette and marijuana) is strictly prohibited inside the unit and on any outdoor patio or balcony. Your damage deposit will be forfeited or you will be charged a $1000 fee if you opted for damage insurance as smoking is not covered under the insurance.  You will incur an additional charge for carpet cleaning and deodorizing if any evidence of smoking is found.  This is also grounds for eviction.
  • Quiet hours are 10pm - 8am.  Any violations will result in a fine of at least $150.  Repeated violations are grounds for eviction.
  • If your vacation rental requires a parking permit for a vehicle, this pass must be left or returned per your rental instructions, or there will be a fine of $200 per missing pass.
  • Reservations are not made by or for a minor, defined as any person under the age of twenty-five (25). We require at least one member of the party to be 25 (twenty-five) years of age! Any violators will be evicted with forfeiture of all monies.
  • Owner or owner's agents may enter the premises in case of an emergency; to make any necessary or agreed upon repairs, alterations, or improvements; supply necessary or agreed upon services or show the premises to prospective purchasers, renters or contractors. Owner will provide renter with at least 24 hours notice of Owners intent to enter (except in the case of an emergency).
  • Please report any maintenance needs for the premises to us and we will respond as quickly as possible. Refunds will not be made for maintenance issues including, but not limited to heating and air conditioning, appliances, televisions, and stereos.
  • iTrip or the Owner, does not assume any liability for loss, damage or injury to persons or their personal property. Neither does owner accept any liability for any inconveniences, damage, loss or injury arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, cable service, electricity or plumbing, as well as due to weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of God, or other reasons beyond its control.
  • Tenant hereby acknowledges that if the premises they have reserved includes a community pool and hot tub or private hot tub and the undersigned agrees and acknowledges that the community pool, hot tub and patio/deck can be dangerous areas, that the deck/patio can be slippery when wet, and that injury may occur to anyone who is not careful. With full knowledge of the above facts and warnings,Tenant accepts and assumes all risks involved to Tenant and all of Tenant's guests in or related to the use of the community pool, hot tub and patio areas.
  • Tenant, for himself/herself, his/her heirs, assignors, executors, and administrators, fully releases and discharges Owner from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, and causes of action by reason of any injury, loss of damage by whatever nature which has or have occurred, or may occur to the undersigned, or any of his/her guests as a result, or in connection with the occupancy of the premises and agrees to hold Owner free and harmless of any claim or suit arising there from. In any action concerning the rights, duties or liabilities of the parties to this agreement, their principals, agents, successors or assignees the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover any reasonable attorneys fees and costs. Owner reserves the right to terminate this Agreement upon their discretion at any time.
  • Any violation of posted rules at property that incur a fine will be the responsibility of the tenant. Examples include access outside of pool and hot tub hours, improper disposal of trash, smoking, excessive noise, parking violations.  
  • By signing this agreement you agree that your rental is transient in nature and does not provide you with tenant rights.  Transient accommodations or “short term rentals” are also subject to applicable Colorado Sales, county and city taxes which are added as a part of your total payment. Should the laws change regarding applicable taxes, we will adjust your booking accordingly.  We are required by law to collect all applicable sales taxes.

Great Ski In/Out Location

This is the second year in a row we stayed at Lichenhearth 30 over President’s Day weekend. Extremely convenient to Village Express, Elk Camp Gondola to hit the slopes or Gondola to Snowmass Mall to eat/drink at one of the various dining establishments. If my teenage daughter wanted to take a break from skiing for a little while this place was super easy to do so. Would definitely come back again. Overall extremely clean unit with all the cooking utensils/pots/pans one would need. Only thing I’d note compared to other places I’ve stayed/rented in various ski towns is that beyond basic salt and pepper shakers there wasn’t anything in the cabinets/pantry from a condiment perspective. Overall this is not a huge deal but it’ would have been better if I didn’t have to run to the IGA to purchase things like PAM cooking spray, other basic spices or even sugar/sweetener. Also would note very convenient to free public transportation via bus stops either at the Snowmass Village, Mall or Stonebridge Inn. For both of our visits we didn’t rent a car and didn’t regret it. You can quickly take the bus to downtown Aspen, the Airport or even Buttermilk or Highlands if you wanted to hit a different mountain for a change of pace (not that you need to as Snowmass has terrain for all levels!!)

Location, location, location!

We are a family of four who spent five nights at Lichenhearth 30. This is a corner unit which is the closest to the pool/hot tub entrance in the entire complex. The sliding door to the back yard allows you to literally ski in/out and the walk to the Snowmass Village is 100ft. From there you can access lifts and the town gondola. Parking is covered and included (we fit a Tahoe in the spot). The location could not be better. The place itself is very cozy, with comfortable beds and couches, and includes a wood burning fireplace that is adequately stocked with starters and wood. The kitchen is all you need for breakfast and some snacking, but I wouldn't cook a full fledged meal there. The building itself was built in 1962, but is in great shape and has certain ben renovated from time to time, and we met lots of friendly owners and renters at the hot tub, which is mere steps from the back sliding door. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

That said, the place is tired and in desperate need of a renovation. Not ok if i were to have brought my wife . Great service!

Lichenhearth is a wonderful condo location - right at base of mountain with easy access to Village Express lift and the Gondola up to the Snowmass mall. Condo is spacious with several drawers, hooks and closets for all your gear. Super easy access on first floor to pool and hot tub! Kitchen very well stocked and plenty of towels and linens. Loved also the firewood stocked upon arrival for the wood-burning fireplace. Best of all - the game table for chess and checkers - great use of the space in living area for eating and relaxing.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Lichenhearth 30. For us, the best part was the location. Being within walking distance of the Base Village was a game changer. Also, the pool and hot tub are right outside your patio. The unit was exactly as you see in pictures. I appreciated having a separate sleeping space which other units in this building didn't have. Outstanding, responsive service throughout our stay. Itrip vacations is extremely responsive. When it happened to be a very cold few days early in our stay, and we requested extra blankets, they immediately provided them as soon as we requested them. When we requested a space heater, also done immediately within hours. Their system of providing a number to text anytime for any requests works quite well- they have that number covered every day by someone. The location was extremely convenient to the slopes, as we literally would ski right up to the back deck at the end of our day of skiing. Would definitely stay here again. Itrip definitely makes it a priority to be responsive to a guest's needs.

Lichenhearth 30 for a great ski week

We just stayed at Lichenhearth 30 for six nights right before Christmas 2022. This was our second time staying in Snowmass, and we could not be happier with this stay. We are a family of five, and the space was laid out well for us and our needs. Everything was clean and in good working order. The location of this unit makes it the best option we can imagine for us in Snowmass. Our kids are 6, 8, and 10, so dropping off at ski school was a breeze when staying here! And the pool and hot tub sit right outside your door. That is a big plus when you are tiptoeing through snow to take a dip! We were able to check in about an hour early, which was very nice. Free parking and free laundry were both welcome amenities. Since we booked with iTrip last year, we knew they provided starter quantities of dishwasher pods, laundry pods, soap, etc, and this was a big reason for us booking with them again. Being able to rely on that makes packing and shopping much easier. Also, when we figured out our unit was missing pool towels, iTrip quickly responded by text that they would bring some right over. That kind of service can be hard to find. Cooking in the unit was easy. Basic items were included, and some things we would have never even thought to use on vacation are there as well. All the appliances worked well. The bathroom amenities are fully stocked and lasted us all week. Water pressure was great. And there was always hot water with little time to heat up. The building was well cared for and comfortably heated hallways were nice for entry and exit. We would not hesitate to stay in Lichenhearth 30 again. We hope to book it when we return in another year or two. If you have young kids in ski school Lichenhearth will make your life easier!

Property was just as advertised. Easy to check in and it was nice to have an assigned parking space. The elevator in the parking area made unloading easy. The staff sent timely information before check-in to prepare us for our stay and their digital book on the property was useful. The property was clean and well maintained. We had a problem with the cable on one of the TV’s and the staff tried valiantly to help me via text and ultimately had someone arrive and fix it the next morning. The property was in a great location with shopping, restaurants and mountain gondolas nearby. Would definitely recommend this property and the rental management company.

PERFECT Location!!

This unit is in the PERFECT location...the pool is right across from back porch and the ski school is steps away from back porch. It was so nice to be able to go back and forth with out having to exhaust our energy by lugging equipment long distances. The unit came lots of extra amenities that kept me from having to buy lots of extra stuff at the city market (dish washer tabs, paper towels, extra coffee, little creamers, wood for fireplace, even breakfast bars;).The owners were very courteous and helpful! Our boys are already begging to go back to it next year!

This unit is in a PRIME location! It is steps from ski school and the pool is right across from the back porch. The owners were very helpful and courteous. If you're looking to visit Snowmass where you can ski right out and right back in, have a great company to welcome you (iTrip Vacations), easy access to the village and mountain, then you can't go wrong here. The condo was very clean and had what we needed. It wasn't updated with the very latest of everything, but it wasn't short on anything we needed! My criteria is clean, convenient to town, and I can be off skis and in the hot tub with a beer in my hand inside of 10 minutes. I could do it in 4 minutes at this place! :-)

Very clean unit and nicely appointed. Loved all the hooks for hanging things up. Could use a few more lights as the eating area was a bit dim. Access to the slopes and pool was great. A couple of suggestions to improve your guests experience. We could not find any hot pad holders in the kitchen and having a bar of soap in the shower would be nice. Details on recycling were not clear, but we figured that out.

Near Ski School

This unit was in a fantastic location for us with two kids in ski school. And it was cozy, well kept, and had everything we needed. Kim was also very accessible and made the check in process seamless with her early communications.

Great location! Pretty basic accommodations but worked well for our family of 4. Had a problem with the back door lock and Kim was very responsive and attentive about getting it fixed.
