Packing for your Kahana Sunset stay is easy, as we provide our guests: iron, ironing board, hairdryer, hotel-quality towels and linens, beach towels, and a starter supply including paper products, trash bags, laundry and dish detergents, soaps, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion.

Kahana Sunset charges a $65.00 plus tax resort fee that we collect and pass on the resort on your behalf. You will find that Kahana Sunset is ideally situated as you are only a short drive to all of West Maui's beautiful beaches, Dining, Shopping, and Entertainment in Kapalua, Ka'anapali and Lahaina.

Starter Supply
Your unit will come with a starter supply of personal toiletries and paper goods, individually wrapped and sealed until you open them. The initial supply includes a starter set of toilet paper and facial tissue in each bathroom, and paper towels and garbage bags in the kitchen, as well as starter-sizes of:

Kitchen - liquid dish soap, dish sponge, dishwasher pods, laundry pods, kitchen cleaning wipes, hand soap

Bathroom - shampoo, conditioner, massage body bar, body lotion, makeup wipe, body wash, hand soap

iTrip Maui also provides a starter set of salt/pepper packets, and a welcome coffee pack (no filter required!) with sugar/creamer packets included.

Smaller sizes are provided to prevent waste - not everyone cooks & washes dishes on vacation. But we want you to have enough to get started without having to run to the grocery store before checking in! Starter supplies are not replenished.


 
We need the tenant to be 25 or older. The guests of the tenant may be younger.
There is no smoking of any kind in the unit or on the lanai.

Beautiful grounds with great beach access.

My wife and I enjoyed our 11 days at Kahana sunset. Beautifully kept grounds with close beach access, that afforded great snorkelling and swimming. Our condo was clean and the view from the lanai, as we drank our morning coffee, was always an enjoyable way to start the day. Issue that we had was dealt with promptly by property management. A lovely stay

We had a lovely stay at Kahana Sunset. The condo was clean and well appointed- had everything we needed. Pool was delightful and we enjoyed the small beach. We took advantage of several of the free activities offered through itrips- the snorkel cruise and the sunset dinner cruise- both through Teralani. Enjoyed both very much, and might not have done this if we hadn’t found them through itrips. If Maui is in your future, Kahana Sunset is a great place to stay.

As always we enjoyed a great vacation here. the condo was very nice. When we arrived it was spotless. We did have a minor issue with the hot water, but the issue was addressed and fixed . We have been coming here for over 30 years and still enjoy it as much as the first year. Grounds are beautiful and well kept uo.

Lovely Unit & Can’t Wait to Return

We visit the Kahana Sunset every year and have stayed in over a dozen different units. We will prioritize getting into this unit in the future. The Pros: The Kahana Sunset grounds are lovely, the guests tend to be friendly and respectful, and the attached beach is frequented nearly exclusively by Kahana Sunset guests. This unit is tastefully updated (not all Kahana Sunset units are similarly updated). The kitchen supplies are exhaustive. The bed is comfortable and soft. The AC unit works great (we’ve stayed in both AC and non-AC units; our preference is definitely AC for most of the year). The view is lovely (a straight view of the gardens and water). The Neutrals: The Kahana Sunset beach is eroding, so each year, there is less available beach. There’s still a solid section for suntanning and playing in the sand, though. As normal, March weather is variable—we had a mix of sunny, rainy, and windy weather. The (Potential) Cons: This unit is located right next to a grass strip where kids like to play. We didn’t mind, but the one-bedroom D-units aren’t as private as, say, the E, C, or B units. The Kahana Sunset is an older complex. As stated, this unit is beautifully updated, though. Comments for iTrip management team: The toilet runs and needs a new flapper valve. We appreciated the late checkout—thanks! Thanks for prioritizing a comfortable bed. This is a simple update that makes a BIG difference to the guest experience.

What a lovely place to stay! Our family of 4- 2 kids slept on the pull out couch in the living room and they had plenty of room. All the amenities you could possibly need or want for fun at the beach. The condo was super clean upon arrival and well stocked with TP, laundry detergent and kitchen necessities for cleaning We had a slight problem with the key code when checking in and it was fixed immediately. Communication was on point! The air conditioning was a definite plus. I wish I could rate higher. We can’t wait for our next trip to D1D!

A little disappointing - but still love Maui

My first impression of the condo was very frustrating, given that we had to haul everything (suitcases, food, water) down steep stairs to the condo - unless we wanted to go down past the pool area and haul everything up from there. Once settled, the condo is nicely situated with a quick walk out to the pool, however the mattress had mildew on it so sleeping every night was a bit challenging. The shower wasn't working and there was no drain plug for the tub, however the property manager had someone come and fix that very quickly. I had heard from a friend who knows an owner of a different condo in the complex how great the beach was for swimming and snorkeling; unfortunately, while we were there we were never able to swim or snorkel there due to very high surf. I probably will not return to these condos, at least not to a lower level condo and definitely not this time of year if you can't swim at the beach.
