Hiking & cycling (road & mountain) – are incredible & easily accessible. Bring your hiking boots & bike(s)! It is a wonderful place to take a walk in the morning or at dusk, when you are most likely to run into our most populous neighbors - the elk, deer, & the occasional red fox. They're beautiful, majestic & look harmless. But it's not advisable to try to pet or feed them.

Located in Evergreen Colorado, Evergreen offers a charming, historic “downtown” Evergreen is a quick drive from the house. Settled in 1859, it retains much of its old west charm. Dining options are a plenty as well as wonderful & unique shopping, music, galleries, & nightlife

Evergreen Lake is nearby & offers a day's worth of activities, in any season. In winter, there's skating, ice fishing, & cross-country skiing. If you visit over New Year's, celebrate by roasting marshmallows by firelight, gazing at ice thrones, & watching the falling ice star & fantastic firework display at midnight. In summer, enjoy fishing, sailing, stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing & more... Rent boats, kayaks, or paddle boards at the lake (or paddle boards at Big R). There's also a music festival, w/ free music on Wed. nights.

Depending on when you visit, we've got the Bluegrass Festival, Jazz Festival, Music at Myers Ranch Concerts, Rodeo & Parade held on Fathers' Day weekend, wonderful local theatre, ziplining in Conifer (the longest zipline in CO!)...and NOW - THREE wonderful craft breweries, right in Evergreen - Evergreen Brewery, Lariat Lodge, & El Rancho!

Red Rocks Amphitheater is 20-mins away down. Besides being a great concert venue, it's gorgeous, & ideal for hiking.

Evergreen Mountain House
4/5 stars
We had a great stay for a wedding in Evergreen. It was about 15 minutes to Evergreen Lakehouse. The road up to the house is narrow and steep, but it was fine in the Summer months. We enjoyed the hot tub! The shower for the master room is difficult! Hard to keep on good temperature.

CO Stay
4/5 stars
We originally booked another home but there was an issue with it that made us have to book another home. Bryan was very helpful with providing us with an alternate home. The Hideaway was a nice home. It has a master with a king bed, another room with a queen bed and a third bedroom with a pull out sofa and bunk beds. The master and bunk bedroom share a bathroom upstairs. The queen bedroom is on the main floor and has a bathroom attached. The house was pretty chilly when we arrived but we found the wall heaters and lit a fire to warm up the home. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need if you wanted to cook. We did not use the hot tub (located on an upper balcony off the master bath). The view is ok, not great, not bad. **The house is off I70 a short bit but we did not hear any highway noise. Once you exit the highway, you go a short distance before you turn on a gravel road. A 4WD or AWD is a MUST as the road to get to this home is steep at points and winds back and forth up the mountain!!! There were some good restaurants to go to in Evergreen. It's about 30-45 minutes to get to Red Rocks.

Mountain retreat.
3/5 stars
Host was great with good communication. House furnishings were very nice and comfortable. Unfortunately the house did not have central heat and it was very difficult to stay at a comfortable temperature with only the small wall heaters . Main living room fireplace helped but i had to make sure it was constantly filled with wood. Kitchen did not have a exhaust fan above gas burning stove so fire alarm kept warning us so we had to open windows which made it even harder to stay warm.

Beautiful but...
4/5 stars
This property has the potential to be 5 stars with beautiful views and a very comfortable and chic seating area. We really enjoyed sitting in the den by the fire and looking out at the mountains. However, we were disappointed to find the rest of the home needs a good bit of routine maintenance and cleaning that hasn't been done, which distracted from our overall enjoyment. Still a great place but hope the other issues get addressed.

Incredible place for a trip to red rocks
5/5 stars
Absolutely adored the place. We were warned about the road up and it was definitely not paved but also not scary or anything. Just beautiful. We saw deer, chipmunks, and gorgeous sunsets from the windows of the house. The hot tub was absolutely essential after a long day of hiking. The house was perfect and beautiful. Close enough to red rocks and far enough away from Denver city center to see gorgeous stars, wildlife, etc. Even though it’s the dead of summer we were comfortable.
